Upcoming AMAs, Events, Projects 2017-01-30 20:03:04 UTC, Kristen Hohenstein
Hello testers,
Please take a few minutes to read the following announcement ❤
Upcoming Events and AMAs:
-We won’t be having our regularly scheduled AMA this month — I apologize for the delay in getting this out. In the next couple weeks I’ll host a special event where Fred and (maybe) Russ say a few words, give an overview of Rainforest’s 2017 goals, and discuss a few questions I hear from you all a lot (e.g. How do you see testers fitting into/being affected by RF’s 2017 plans?)! I’ll also be updating you on tester-centric projects we are working on right now (e.g. badges) or doing discovery work around to find the best solution (e.g. transparency around job distribution).
-In an effort to balance my time between support and strategic responsibilities, AMAs will be reduced to every other month. This is not because the team doesn’t find AMAs useful or because we don’t want to answer your questions every month. It’s simply a small part of balancing my community management responsibilities so I can remain effective and avoid being spread too thin.
Other Updates:
-Our badges project is currently prioritized and underway. Badges have been selected, the design and workflow have been mocked up, and now we’re onto implementation. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of February!
-We’re brainstorming how we can provide transparency around tester ranking and job distribution. If a solution gets prioritized for the next quarter, it will be a multi-team effort that requires a well-thought out design. We appreciate your patience in this area. We want to get it right.
-I’ll be out of town for a friend's wedding this week, and then we have a company meeting in SF next week. During that time a lot of strategic planning for the upcoming quarter will happen and I look forward to discussing projects aimed at improving the RF experience for our tester community.
That’s all for now. As always, thank you for your hard work! I’ll send you all updates as projects become prioritized.
Drzte gace sto bi se reklo na sledece promene!
