I'm a vegetarian and have been for many years.

I eat fake meat some times. The problem with fake meat is, most of it contains
soy and usually a lot of salt. The fake meat I eat comes in large cans and is dry.
I can use it for making stuff like tacos, put in stuff like spaghetti sauce. There
are some casseroles that just don't taste quite right or have the right consistency
unless they have meat in them.....that is when I pull out the fake meat in a can.
BUT I truly don't eat the fake meat often either due to it's soy content and high
salt content.

You sound like my sister. She's determined to sneak meat in my food and thinks you have to eat it in order to be healthy. However she has many health problems. No, I'd never eat meat again. I don't just see the meat on the plate I visualize all the trauma the animal went through before it got there. I don't need meat. I don't eat meat. I don't serve meat to my guests. And I feel a sense of very good karma about me. I'm at peace with myself.

So no meat for me, but what do you serve for dessert at your home for the holidays? That might entice me!
