Forget about the loaf bread. That's too much yeast. It will clog up your intestines like glue.

All bread is made from yeast unless its unleavened,flat bread,chapatti etc.....................yeast the natural fungi gives it that spring,the mellow bounce we all love


of course its used in beer also,,quite a useful little fungi innit?

In America at the Dollar Tree you could purchase 1000 loaves of bread for $1000.00 dollars.

In America if you live in the middle of nowhere in a "city" of 146 people, you have no bread in your own city.

Of course, you can make the trip to the BIG CITY, and have better luck with selection and pricing....

but when a person has to eat low-sodium bread, it's a crap-shoot every time whether you'll find it (yes, even in the big city), and if you DO.....
you will then get to pay AUSTRALIAN BREAD PRICE for it!!!!

But if that's the biggest problem I have to deal with, then I'm still happy...

That's why everyone should own a bread maker.

I happen to have 3 of them.

Maybe at some places but here in Tasmania flour will cost you same money , not to mention yeast , salt and eletricity plus time , ,,, but yep , i make my own , nice , fresh not like bread here that comes from Asia , frozen , 100 days old , just warmed here

I have a bread maker and I have never used it.

I do make bread from scratch some times. Mostly I will make rolls and pizza dough.

Bread in Australia has come down in price at my local supermarket ($3.50AUD for some good quality loaves), so I could currently buy around 385 loaves with $1000USD.

But there is another price paid - most of the bread is now supplied under various brand names by just one manufacturer. A couple of small shelves might be allocated for premium alternative brands, but >90% of the bread on the shelves would be from just one company. 10 years ago there would be 3 or 4 different companies supplying bread to the major supermarkets, resulting in competition & fairly decent prices. After the 2 major supermarket chains in Australia changed to single suppliers the cost of bread did go as high as $5.30AUD per loaf (an attempt to force customers to switch to the basic store brand white bread which is full of big air pockets), but after a backlash from consumers & bad publicity the price of decent quality bread did get whittled down to something a bit more affordable.

Cost of living is very low? However take a look their standard of living isn't good? Poverty look so bad in the poor country?

Sell everything, move to low cost of living country, live like wealthy person,
poor person steal everything from you, move back to high cost of living
country, start over again.
