Anyone Tried Print Media To Get Referrals?

Locked

#1 by lotoole » Mon May 16, 2016 16:22

I have a link on my two Facebook accounts to ClixSense with no activity whatsoever. Getting referrals is frustrating.

Has anyone ever advertised on print media like Craig's List? I'm wondering how that might work.

You can get a good ROI if you do it right, often better than in PTC

You need to create your own domain name. Redirect your link on Clixsense.

You can use ad brokers and they'll give better rates for print media such as magazines
and newspapers. I use to run campaigns and I had an ad broker that worked to get me
the best advertising deals in business magazines and major newspapers like the wall
street, new york, etc.

There is ad brokers such as the one I had that also designed the ad displays for magazines.
I'd give him the jest of what I wanted and he would send me a couple of drafts to look at.
I could then suggest changes or ok it.

You don't want to use the company urls tho in print media ads. Use redirects or rotator
urls.

Actually I was looking at free ads like Craigs List. When you say to not use the company urls, does that include the urls we use from Clixsense for our referrals? Is a redirect url a url that would lead to, for example, my Facebook page? I don't know what a rotator url is. And why wouldn't you use the company url? All this is a bit new to me.

You don't want to use company urls on Craigslist, especially. In fact, if you do decide
to do something over there, it would be smart to allow ClixSense admin approval of it.

Not using company urls protect you from spam accusations, at least to an extent.

Example: Charlie says she spammed me with that program ClixSense! I saw the url!
Here is her spamming ad copy! Someone call ClixSense right now and show them!
Call their hosting company!

Example: It's a short redirect url Charlie. You can't contact their hosting because
the short redirect is not ClixSenses url.....it is the short redirect companies url.
You're barking up a dead horses butt, Charlie.

Ya see!

A rotator url is a url that rotates more than one url.

Thanks, I'll run my ad by Clixsense admin. Had no idea this might not be allowed.

I got an ok on my ad for Craig's List from Clixsense admin. Administration does like to approve the wording on these before they're run. Thanks for the heads up. Now we'll see if it works!

Getting referrals is very easy? Are they going stay with you more than ten days.

I don't know yet but thought I'd try it. As to whether they stay longer than ten days, that is the million dollar question! I imagine that's the challenge everyone has so you have to constantly be mining for referrals.

I have announced my ClixSense affiliate link 1,119,759 for almost a year.

And of these, i have received a total of 50 referrals, of which 22 are still marked as active, but right now it is only about 3 to 5 who clicks almost daily and i have earned $33 on them so far.

I have advertised for over $300 in order to achieve this and it does not feel as if i can get back that money from these referraler before all is inactivated.

So far the best economic way is enough to get hold of all of their referrals completely free and it's probably not the easiest to get together.

So now i'm only trying to get hold of referraler of free pages, probably will not spend more money on ads for that.

So it's not easy, but if you do not try, you can not succeed either, you probably need a lot of luck, for it is additionally many who advertise their ClixSense link just everywhere.

It is frustrating. I've been trying Craigslist ads and I do see it has generated some interest because on my stats, you can see a few people clicking around on the site. But no referrals because no one has actually signed up. It's like watching mice nibbling around a piece of cheese. I want to send them an email and say "Come on you wimps. What are you waiting for? Just dive in there."

I know exactly how you feel now

" It 's like sitting and fishing without a worm on the hook and still hope that something will bite "

You read how many times i had announced my ClixSense link, on average, i have received one referral per 22,395 clicks / impressions.

So it might be one of those statistics you can expect in you'r advertising future.

But if you can get one referral per 22,000 ad impressions, so it is always better than none, so it is probably just to fight on and never give up.

But please, do not take '' all '' referrals now, i need some too... :P
