Can You Believe This. Brand New DVD Movies

Locked

#1 by proadco » Thu Jun 09, 2016 10:02

Got out early this morning to set up my own yard sale, butt........

Instead, I went checking out other yard sales.......

I found a heck of deal.......

I bought 108 brand new DVD movies, still in the plastic, unwrapped all for .25 cents each.

Around here at the yard sales, used Dvd movies sells for $2.00 each.

I was thinking since they are brand new, never been watched,
still in the plastic I would sell them for $3.00 each

On the other hand, might be some movies I've not seen or would like to see again, then
I would have to open them up and then they become a used movie that I can sell in the
yard sale for $2.00 each.

Decisions decisions. What should I do

What would you do?

I must say, I would have to watch the ones that interest me and then sell them. You might not get this chance again in a life time ;)

at .50 cents I could pass along a good deal, the dealers would snatch them up like hot cakes as I did at .25 cents each.

At $2.00 each, that would be 800% profit and still a good deal for everyone.

at $3.00 each, that would be a1200% profit and then still be a good deal for everyone b/c there are totally
brand new.

Yea, I'll probably go through the movies and pick out the ones that interest me.

At another yard sale I visited a year or maybe two years ago. This guy had about 250 VHS. Mostly those
that you record and a about 40 VHS movies.

He sold them all to me for $1.00

He just wanted to get rid everything.

His mother had passed away, he was down from Alaska. He was clearing out the house and selling the home.

I went through the movies, got what I wanted.

VHS people do still buy them, but they are a slow seller and specially the blanks that you can record over.

Next street over, one of my neighbors that comes to my yard sale.

I went over to visit with him, told him I had a deal he may be interested in.

225 VHS blanks, many of those had been recorded with movies, some where personal gatherings, church
activities and etc. Plus a few movies I wasn't interested in.

He asked, how much do I want for all it.

I said , you can take it all for $10.00

It was shocked, he said, are you sure. I said yes, I sure.

I said, I could get way much more selling piece by piece in my yard sale, but I had so much
stuff that I don't even have enough room to put them anywhere. I'm having to store these
VHS in the truck.

He open that wallet up and handed me a $10.00 bill

About four or five years ago another yard sale, they had just cut the yard, having their own yard sale.

Now, they had their lawn mower near the stuff they were selling.

The lawnmower worked, but it was old.

I asked, are you selling that lawn mower.

He looked around, looked back, said, how much would I give him.

I said, well, I'm not really interested in lawnmowers, but, that mower kinda old,
but if you wanted to sell it, I would give you $5.00

He said sure, it would take $5.00

I loaded it up, brought it back to the house.

I was having my own yard sale at the same time.

I unloaded the mower and about an hour later or so.

This same guy I bought the lawnmower from, showed up at my yard sale, while he was looking around.

He asked me how much I wanted for my lawnmower.

I said well, I was asking $20.00 for the mower, considering how old the mower was and it runs
good and don't smoke.

But, I've had a pretty good day to day and I'll let you have the mower for $10.00 :D

This guy bought his own lawnmower back from me

Actually i would keep them in their original seal and instead charge $5 + Shipping for each DVD movie on Amazon and Ebay :$

Not going to sell in bulk with the DVD movies.

DVD's sell well.

I'll will sell those what the market can bare, but half the price of Wal-mart sale price.

You would be amazed of some of the stuff I've purchased and turned over.
