Wifi on the moon has a 19.44 megabits per second download and a 622 megabits per second upload (that's the right way round - upload is faster than download on the moon, and it's not obvious why because I didn't read the white paper). That's not too shabby for a home connection, but that'd be your data centre.

So, I think internet would suck too much for most people.
