I save all my extra earnings as a buffer for bad times , for they will always comes sooner or later

Since my low pension does not allow a buffer savings.

It need not be bad economic times , it may also be that something is broken in the household.

Such as a refrigerator or something like that and then needed an extra buffer to replace such things.

Dev server rental first. Excess has gone on solar panels and laptops and stuff in the past.

Now saving for components to make a self-built tablet. It'll come in at about $200, but it'll be bloody awesome.

Yeah, but I've been less adventurous so far - kodi box, retropie, etc. The tablet will be my first actual "use it to build something" project. Raspberry Pi 3 Model B + 7 Inch Touchscreen + powerbank array + solar case is the plan.

I use mine in case of emergency or if there's something really needed. I had to replace the refrigerator water filter. Got a 2pk for $50.00 at Home Depot. Things do tear up, nothing's built to last long anymore. I have purchased few on sale clothing items. Mostly try to save :$

I use mine for every day items like groceries, gasoline and dog food. Now saving for a bicycle. As we get closer to the holidays, will be letting it accumulate for gifts.

However, things don't always go as planned. Something usually breaks down just as I think I might be reaching a goal. Last month it was the lawn mower that needed repair.

O thank you
You remind me about gifts.
I have to gift some of my friends in my downline here with a free premium or cash money on the eve of Christmas

I live on Social Security. It is not enough to live on so I have to earn money other ways just to make ends meet including a part-time job in the real world. We do eat more real world pizza than we should, though.
