Can you think of stuff that most people probably don't know?

Well here is one:

Lurch that played on Addams Family. His real name is Ted Cassidy and he was from West Virginia.
He died at an early age...... 46. He was of course best known for his part on Addams Family. He
died of complications from heart surgery. He was almost 7 feet tall and had what we often refer
to as 'giantism'. He really was a huge guy and really did have the deep bass voice. He was married
once and had a son and a daughter.

Cycling is a ubiquitous mode of transport in the Netherlands, with 31.2% of the people listing .... The Dutch train their children to ride so they can confidently ride in the roads when they are around 12 years of age, just before they start secondary ... Nearly a third of all journeys made in the Netherlands are made by bicycle.



Well the last sentence isn't completely true,I don't even have a bicycle

If you have ever seen the 1971 science fiction movie Silent Running (starring Bruce Dern), you may have noticed the 3 drones (robots) named Huey, Dewey & Louie that maintained the gardens on the spaceship. Those drones actually had real people inside them - amputee actors. The drones were designed to fit each amputee, thus the different shapes.

Which reminds me, in the Doctor Who serial Battlefield, the Doctor's companion Ace can be found trapped inside a water filled container, fighting for her life at the end of part two (I think, maybe part three). The Doctor, of course, saves her in the nick of time.

Less well known is that Sophie Aldred's life is in danger - as the container her character is trapped in is leaking, and there are live cables on the floor. Just as the Doctor saves her in the nick of time in the serial, Sylvester McCoy saves her in the nick of time in real life.
