Anybody ever have problems with their bank and paypal? I had to pay my bank almost $300. because every time I made a deposit they (paypal) kicked it right out. I could see it on the bank paperwork but yet paypal just kept saying it was the bank's fault. I like all of us couldn't afford to just give away $300. I am pretty sure I am done with paypal. I have asked before but could anyone tell me how payza works are they connected to a bank like paypal. That is the part I do not understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm also having problems with PayPal, though of a different nature. Nobody has charged me anything, but they've decided my bank account is no longer valid. It is, and I've been using it for years, and as far as I'm aware, nothing has changed, but they've decided it's not valid, and since it's a Credit Union account, it's difficult to argue.

The problem is they all handle payments the same way. If you're having problems with PayPal, the chances are, you're going to have problems with everyone else too. You probably want to look at more convoluted ways to get your hands on your cash. As a US member, a cheque will work fine for you.

I'm probably going to have to switch to Tango, and either hope the virtual visa cards can fund neteller, or get the bitcoin card and sell it for moneygram.

But for now, I'm carrying on with PayPal, and using it for online purchases rather than withdrawing for cash. When the summer slump is behind us, I'll take another look.

Edit to add, here is the email they sent - it may or may not be a similar issue to yours:

Quote:
Your bank has let us know that there isn't a valid Direct Debit Instruction set up
between PayPal and your bank account ending in XXXX. This means that you won't be
able to use this bank account to fund any PayPal payments, but you may still withdraw
money to it.

"How to make future payments with PayPal"

To use your bank account ending in XXXX to fund any future payments with PayPal,
you'll need to re-submit the Direct Debit Instruction. To do this, log in to your
PayPal account at<snip>

The credit union assures me there is a valid direct debit instruction, and I can't still withdraw.

Check them out by going to their site, I believe they explain some of the options on the page.. :P :?

@BouldRake Maybe I am not understanding correctly but from reading your post, it
sounds like you can withdraw your paypal payments to your bank but it is saying you
cannot withdraw funds from your bank to your paypal account. Meaning that you
can still receive payments to your paypal account and you can still withdraw those
payments to your bank.

Payza is not good for USA people.

Why did you have to pay your bank $300?

I kept making deposits to paypal because my bank kept saying I was overdrawn. Paypal always showed that I had money in my account. I made several deposits and still received notices I was overdrawn. I went to my bank and froze my paypal account and between me and the bank manager were promised it would be looked into. Well in the meanwhile the bank continued charging me daily and paypal did nothing. They both blamed one another but I was left with the debt so I'm not very happy with any of them.

Yeah - it says I can withdraw to my account, but in reality I can't - which sounds like exactly the reverse of what's happening to teeberry (except my bank has a monthly fee instead of penalty charges). If there's just two of us, it's coincidence. If you can find more people with similar recent issues, PayPal might have been on another bout of software updates breaking banks. This has happened to me twice before.

Can't you get your bank advisor to call and speak with Paypal ???, I mean there must be a way sorting it out.

If they're that stubborn you should simply tell them that you're considering choosing another bank over them/Or closing your account (It helps sometimes)

Never had any problems with Paypal,But 5 years ago i needed to borrow 1000£ from my bank due to unexpected charges regarding my new apartment in Copenhagen, 10 days went by with nada and good excuses,Until i've showed up with the intention to close my account. 10 minutes later my loan was granted.

Banks don't care one bit about their costumers if there's nothing to loose,Put a bit of pressure on them and see what happens, Don't forget to mention that you're opening your new account at their biggest rivals :D

That's the problem - I can't threaten them. I lived abroad for so many years I'm missing from all the credit scoring sites. I don't have a bad credit rating, I don't have any credit rating, which makes it difficult, because they use that as ID as well as credit scoring now. They were my last resort in the first place.

All my branch can tell me is whether a payment is in the system or not. If there's something that's supposed to be in the system and isn't, they can't tell me why, because they can't see it either. They've told me as far as they're concerned, there's still a direct debit instruction setup - but that's all they can see. All they can tell me about the missing money is it isn't in the system. The Credit Union now liases with head office, who look at the actual bank part to figure out what's going wrong, and this takes weeks, and we may or may not find out what's wrong.

Last time this happened, I never found out what was wrong. It just magically started working again when I tried it six months later - but it was the same time PayPal updated their APIs, which makes me suspect it was their fault all along.

Had that problem with my bank too. What I did was get a prepaid debit card. Link to paypal using the direct deposit method. Then use the debit card as a bank account. Netspend is a good prepaid card to go with. Never had a problem with them. I've been using that for years now instead of dealing with a brick and mortar bank. Much easier and NO drama.

FYI
if you decide to go with the prepaid debit card different offer walls have netspend as sign up offer. So you can get paid to sign up and at the same time hopefully solve your banking/paypal problem. Just look around on all the walls to see which one pays more for a sign up. :$
