I put my money on Tatiana Guderzo for the women's road race, Becky James for the women's sprint, Alejandro Valverde for the mens road race, and then discovered my bookie won't take bets for less than 25p, and couldn't bet anymore.

It saddens me that the Williams sisters lost in the first round of doubles.

At least they still have a shot at singles tennis.

They were amazing. It wasn't just that they won, they were also tactically...well, I expected somebody to try something a bit clever. I was looking to Germany with Trixi Worrack to pull it off, but the Netherlands were about ten times cleverer than I'd hoped for.

It was a horrible, horrible crash at the end. It's not often "in intensive care with a broken back" and "okay" are the same thing, but we honestly thought she was dead. For her teammate to come back and take gold anyway...they captured both the best of, and the worst of the Olympics in the space of about 40km.

Except from The Water-polo and the Greco roman wrestling i'm not following it closely either.

Wooohoo Silver for Jakob Fuglesang (Probably our only medal)

And again Gold didn't expect such a end sprint.

I'm so happy with that silver in the same event. I've known Becky since she was twelve, only online, but when you've known someone from that age, even if it's just online, they still feel like family. Maybe distant cousins rather than siblings, but still family.
