No ads in California

Ever since Clixsense did their maintenance a couple of weeks ago, we stopped getting ads during the day. At exactly 9:17 pm (Pacific time) hundreds of ads pop up. Around 7 am, they stop. I live in California. I know of at least three other people that are experiencing the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

We were told that the recent upgrade was to be done in multiple parts.

Generally speaking - and there are exceptions, so emphasis on generally - it just doesn't scale to push everything out in one go once a day. It puts a huge spike on your resources, and pushes your hardware requirements way up above what you'd need if you staggered them throughout the day.

Obviously, I don't know what goes on behind the scenes anymore than you do, but I strongly suspect everything coming at midnight is a temporary thing.

Excerpt of quote from Jim:

Quote:The upgrade that was performed was the first step in handling our continued growth. We migrated to a new database structure with added space to handle our ever growing database. Step 2 of our upgrade will take place this week but it will not effect the site and no downtime is needed. We have purchased an additional 6 web servers to help disburse the load. When we bring these online, it will be a seamless integration.

Well, that explains everything. I had no idea that there was a second step to that maintenance - Thanks for that info...appreciated ;)
