firefox private window is for protection against tracking by some websites and protect your information from stealing.I think tracking protection is enough for secure banking etc.

Firefox and Chrome are about the same in terms of safety, AFAIK. I won't go near Internet Explorer as I have read a lot about vulnerabilities in it that don't get fixed and, whenever I have had issues with malware/spyware in the past, 90% of it has occurred when using IE (something changed my homepage in IE about a year ago and, to this day, despite trying everything short of uninstalling and re-installing, have not found a solution...same issues with FF and Chrome have been easy to fix in the past).

For added security, both Chrome and Firefox have their secure browsing options (Incognito Mode for Chrome and Private Window for Firefox..both found in options on the relevant browser). Personally, for banking, I use Firefox but that is because I have FF open more during the day than Chrome and I would have no qualms about using Chrome for banking needs
