I watched a new scary Halloween movie tonight 'House of Purgatory'.

It had some gore in it but not as bad as many others. It was dumb, of course.

I just saw "Last House on the Left" the other day. SyFy is all horror films for Halloween and I'm doing catch up...but I'll NEVER watch The Exorcist again. I've seen it in the movies and once on TV and that was enough for me. LOL

I missed wrong Turn. Evidently there were 5 of them. I saw the last 5 minutes of #5.

One I did like recently was Jeepers Creepers and the follow up. That wasn't too bad.

I laughed all through Night of the Living Dead because it was so amateurish BUT back in the '70s, it was popular. As you said, Valerie, most came out as drive-in movies and especially during the all nighters.

Fear Inc. (2016 movie). I watched this one last night. It is some what different.
It's about this guy that lives with his girlfriend in a nice house with swimming pool.
It starts out kind of funny at first because the guy is funny. He doesn't have a job
and lounges in the pool all day instead of looking for a job. He likes to play games
and he likes games that scare him.

At first the movie is kind of funny although the very beginning does start out with
a woman being attacked. After about 20 or so minutes in, you begin to think the
movie is a bit of a drag. Then on Halloween, things begin jumping. He just thinks
everything is a game.

Better acting than most. A different type of story line.

The Haunting of Hill House, supposedly based on a true story.

Not a gory movie but much more terrifying.

The Beyond

Plot: A young woman inherits an old hotel in Louisiana where after a series of supernatural 'accidents', she learns that the building was built over one of the entrances to Hell.

I still remember this one pretty gory...

Night of the Demons from 1987 or 1988, not the one from 2009 cause that one sucks.
The one from 1987/88 is really scary and i will never forget Angela's Dance with the flickering lights.
I cannot post any links to full movies but go to youtube and search for " Night of the Demons (1987) ", use exact search words but without the quotes. ;)
This movie has another 2 sequals but those should be skipped.

I watched a new one on netflix last night that had 4 stars and was totally ignorant.

I don't know how it had 4 stars. 'Pretty Thing That Lives in the House'.

Watched Before Dawn. It's not a particularly good film, really, but it's filmed in the moors, and every single location shot included a place I've slept, which gave it a bit of an edge.
