I'll give it a few more hours for the DNS to propagate, but I'll stick the ad in tomorrow.

Look out for A Great Club.

Seriously? Just asking since your hard to read

Yeah. It's just waiting for someone to approve the ad, it'll be in Clixgrid today.

Edit - it's already approved and in rotation.

Any hints of what it looks like ? Green color ? Does it say copyright by Bouldrake ? Or patent pending ?

It's bootcrap, so it looks exactly the same as 99% of websites. Big black nav bar, big white background.

It's called A Great Club.

It says in big letters "A Great Club is a really great club where really great things happen and stuff." then goes on to explain what it is.

I think I'm pushing the boundaries of spam with "I've got an ad, look for it!", posting a link is probably just the wrong side of that line, but it's in rotation for a week, folk will find it eventually.

Up until September this year i owned a forum with a chatbox, I had 250,000 members and at first the chat was lively and fun with lots of members helping each other, a little spam but not that much cause you can stop hotlinks but after about 6 or so months the only comments were, 'good morning', 'good night', 'hello', 'goodbye', you get the gist lol.
There are free chatboxes for forums and you could also have a blog attached to the main site with chat, a facebook page is also an option.
Valerie i beg to differ with you about ':clixsense: is not about fun', without a bit of fun a site becomes a bore or a chore, shame on you.. ;)

It hasn't escaped my attention that this might be a thing we could do later if it took off, but it's a vague wishy-washy maybe.

You'll find a link on the help pages. There's no benefit to referring anyone, but it will be stored, just in case that ever changes.

I think at this point we can call it a failed experiment.

It costs nothing to keep it there until domain renewal time, but I think this particular snake is somewhat dead.

Looks that way.

It's going nowhere though. It's on my dev server, so it's hosted for free. I admit, it wasn't the best sales pitch, but since it's such a recurring feature request in various forms, I expected at least half a dozen takers.

It's distributed though (like email, you don't need an account on the same site), so once I finally get this sixteen-months-late game finished, there might be some people to talk to.
