What is the best invention EVER!

Probably a better question might be to 'list the best that is the worst invention?'

If that was the question I can think of a lot of things which is almost everything.

Motor Vehicles. These are the best inventions but have become the worst invention. More people die in
vehicle accidents then in war. People fight over oil. They are very costly and for most people a car will
be their second most expensive purchase in their life (first being a house). The vehicle gets people where
they need to go quickly and is a great source for transporting foods and various goods. They are also
great for polluting the air. A whole bunch of them that are wrecked, is an eye sore in yards, junk yards, etc.
They have created jobs for millions of people over the years and they have also created unemployment for
millions of people. It's a great way to spend lots of money. It's also a great way to spend a lot of money
on a very regular basis for gasoline, tires, inspections, insurance, and more.

I think the best thing is all the stuff we have today but the worst thing is all the stuff we have today.

Whoever invented that should be shot.

Another good invention is the Baby Mop, don't feel like wiping the floor today ?
Instead let the baby do it for you, just add some soap and give it a little nudge and see the magic happen

That was the only thing I could think of, other than the plumber. But since the plumber is my local plumber, I'm guessing they're not very well known in America.

The internet. Think of it - all of the world's knowledge, all the current news, almost every bit of information contained in every library in the world is at your fingertips. And that knowledge is less likely to be destroyed as is the case with physical libraries that may be burned down in parts of the world experiencing conflicts.

Of course there is also all the nonsense in the world on the internet too but all things considered, it is still a wonderful invention with a huge impact on educating people regardless of location.

There's a missing - or rather, a duplicate immediately after papamike's post. Someone with the full BBCode should report that on the bug tracker.

The best invention for me?

A car! I don't know what I would have done without mine!

We take all of these things so easily for granted! What if it had never been invented? :?:

Hi,

I think all of Tesla's inventions were great, just the usage of those in the improper hands (like scalar technology), gives it a bad reputation. This applies basically to any invention man has created.

I think Peter Davey's ultrasonic boiler would have also had been a great invention, if massively produced. However we all know where the boundaries of all "too good inventions are". Just look up T. H. Mooray's story.

This would give alchemy a totally different boost. I think it is possible, therefore, a tuning fork is also a good invention. Hey, if it worked for carving those giant rock formations around the world (Easter Island, The Pyramids, Coral Castle from Edward Leedskalnin,...)... :)
