Anyone find some Black Friday / Cyber Deals?

Thanksgiving Day Sales - Oh Gee!
Pre Black Friday - Oh My!
Black Friday - Oh My My!
Cyber Monday - Oh My My My!

No, I don't brave the crowds to shop. I suppose if there was something that was an extremely
great deal that I just had to have, I might but I some how doubt it. I think I'd rather pay more
than go out on the holiday or wait in line or fight over getting to the item. In fact, on the news
after Thanksgiving, I heard a 20 year old man was killed.....said it was an argument over a
parking space. So there is a young man dead and another that will probably not see freedom
for a long time, if ever again. I guess I am just a funny person because I don't get mad about
stuff like that. I tend to laugh or simply wave the other person to go ahead and take the space.
People just get so tore up over meaningless stuff.

Anyway, I did get a few deals. Nothing major. I ordered several cheap appliances for my guest
house. Little appliances that were deals for under $10.00 each through Walmart. Ordered a
hot air fryer too that was supposedly a deal. Walmart had the wrangler jeans for $10.00 and I
ordered a bunch of those for the working men in my life. Also ordered various sleepwear.

Dell had some doorbuster deals online every hour yesterday. I ordered a couple of their half
price door busters. A monitor. Also a mini desktop. The mini desktop was not something I
needed but thought it might be useful at some point. My excuse to myself for ordering the mini
desktop was that it might come in handy when traveling. I rarely travel so It was a lame excuse
to self.

I went to the Dollar Store yesterday for a can of pumpkin pie mix. They had those little light
weight soft plushy throws for half price ($4.00) so I bought a few of those for my dog.

Did you find any deals?

I spent £40 and saved less than £1.

On the plus side, it was stuff I was going to buy anyway. I didn't have any of those great "making the purchasing decision for you" offers that the news implied we had last year. Which is a shame, because I didn't really want deals - I've got a christmas list high on adjectives, but low on nouns; I wanted someone to tell me what to buy.

Well at least you got some things you were going to buy anyway.

They showed on the news last night about Target selling their 6 ft (not sure how tall but they are very big)
teddy bears for $10 and they sold out of them. Sold IN store only. Someone said how could they make
money off them for $10? They don't. It's an attraction factor. Get people in the store and they are going
to buy other stuff too.

It's like McDonalds. It's said they don't make money off their hamburgers, they make a killing off the
soda fountain drinks.

Thanksgiving is not celebrated so much in India :( The companies offload most of their offers during Diwali in India :? Diwali is a big festival in India  Even the employees get their bonuses on Diwali here :!: Then there are these many other festivals all through the year, and some companies do put up offers during these festivals, but nothing gets closer to Diwali with regards to offers and discounts given by companies  Diwali is a festival of lights, these discounts and offers given by the companies make the lights more brighter

Nice to know there's other mommies of fur babies besides me that buy their fur kids NEW blankets, etc.

Most people think that I'm nuts, because they give their dogs and/or cats only the old, worn-out, ripped blankets or rugs or whatever!

You is a good fur baby mommy!

Yep me too.....and for me, that 'find a use for it' thing actually ends up being a 'trying to find a place to stash it' thing....

hmmmm, something wrong there, huh?

I haven't tried out the mini desktop yet. It also came with a large/long keyboard and a mouse.
I don't think I even realized the keyboard and mouse came with it. They keyboard and mouse
are both wired. I doubt I will use the keyboard but one never knows, might come in handy some
day. My apple keyboard eats batteries but I don't think the wired keyboard works with mac.
Anyway, the mini desktop fits in my hand. Really cute. I looked at it all and then put it neatly
back in the box.

Oh yep, my little dog is spoiled spoiled spoiled. He is 3 years old and weighs under 7 pounds.
He go's most every where with me. He has lots of clothes and pajama's too. I'm very very
protective of him and I do his grooming myself.

My house cat is rather rotten too but he is old. He only has one eye and just yesterday, he
walked right smack into the bakers rack. His one eye is now going bad too. I've got to take
him to the vet this week and see if maybe and hopefully, a cataract that can be removed.
He won't have too difficult a time if totally blind, however. He kind of hugs the wall when he
walks through the hallway and knows rather well without seeing where to go. He does not
really play any more. Every now and then he will do a little hop skip but that is about it.
Eat and sleep is his motto.

I was planning to take advantage of the sale yesterday (Monday)...went to the local bed shop to get a new mattress and was planning to get one that was £300 (non-sale price of £600) as had seen it on the internet and looked ideal....got to the shop and it really wasn't what I was after and ended up spending £900 on a non-sale mattress  I do feel the extra money was worth it though as the more expensive mattress is so much more supportive than the cheaper one and felt much better made
