Do you ever think about the stuff you have in regards to where it was and where it has been?

A little jar of mayonnaise I ordered along with some other items, is shipping by itself. It has
been traveling the USA for several weeks.

When I finally receive the little jar of mayonnaise, I think I should cherish it with all my might.
I shall never consume it. I shall place it on a stand as one would a statue. 'Here sit's little jar
of mayonnaise that traveled the USA'. People shall visit from near and far to see my little jar
of mayo.

Safe arrival little jar of mayonnaise. I await in anticipation.

Walmart shipping is 'deplorable'. Did I really say that word?

well i will add to that valerie ,everything we consume travels,we travelled too,to our mummies bellies b4 we were exposed to the big wide world!

I've also got one ,I bought some sneakers online and I thought I would have them in a few days...wel big shocker that wasn't the case.

My package went MIA turns out DHL the delivery service first claimed my address didn't exsist(yeah I'm that dumb,ttat I dont know where I life ).

A few weeks further it turned out DHL send it to the wrong province,how smart is that?

So over all it took almost two months to finally get my package.

I bought a record for a friend and had it shipped from the US to the UK. Turns out it actually went from California to New York (which didn't seem unusual) then all the way to Sweden and then back to the UK!

Still turned up far quicker than expected though, so all was good! Just intriguing where things go!

You aren't just kidding......
it IS deplorable, and when trying to track the different shipments, it generally makes no sense.

Amazon isn't quite up to what they used to be for shipments through prime, either.

Yah , order from Myer store from Launceston [AU] is coming from USA
Myer Launceston is 3 km from my home
It takes parcel 10 day to arrive in Launceston Myer store and another day or 2 to my address

Postage is so expensive these days though, isn't it.

I mean, you take a letter to the postbox, a man collects it, drives it a few miles to a sorting office, the sorting office workers sort it into piles, these piles are driven or freighted hundreds of miles to a local sorting office, where they're sorted again by another team of workers to match the delivery rounds, the postman collects it from his personal pile, and walks miles to put it through your letter box.

That's all they do, it's not much to ask - but they charge sixty four pence!

A book of ten or twenty stamps, actually last me a long time.....well, at least a couple of months or longer.

And speaking of packages travelling the universe -

I've had numerous boxes delivered by _ _ _ courier - (brown, 3 letters ) - that look they were driven in a frantic hurry through the desert - twice - with the truck doors open, and then were bounced on by baby hippos to test the tape, just before they give them to me.

Really. Had to unpack some of them outside because there was SO much fine dusty dirt on the boxes.

If some misguided soul sends to me a canister of the holiday popcorn from Walmarts or other large box stores, yes I certainly wonder if that product has been around the universe and back several times. I wonder about this because the product is always stale and tastes like it's about a century old. Maybe it has been repackaged a few times from the middle ages.

I don't think I have issues with the food items being stale when shipped thru walmart but the
packaging is a nightmare.

They seem to use whatever box is closest to their hand. I've received a can of coffee in a box
large enough for a bike with ten tons of brown paper wadded and wadded and waddy wadded.

I have also received items in small box's that should have been in large box's.

Then there is the 'tape' that is SOME TIMES over lids and some times NOT.

It is so lovely to receive can goods, like can salmon, dented in like a deflated balloon.

Nothing more wonderful then having cans on top of the cookies. I just love drinking cookies.

Oh the joy of receiving packages from Walmart. The packers must really love their job.
