Looking at the pretty cat faces posted here -

I just had to ask if everyone knows that all (almost all?) tabbies have a distinctive "M" on their foreheads?

These three beauties all have one!

@Pattoqro I love his suit. Him all dressed up.

@Marcel YES it is more like a Sanctuary here.

Oh it would not be a good thing for someone tried to do something to my animals.
They are like children. Mr Bo aka BoBoDog, he goes every where with me!

Yes Tabby cats have the distinctive M design at their forehead. Kind of cool!

By the way, Miss Red and Mr Grey were survivors from a storm. Their nest was blown out of
one of my trees and I heard weird noises outside. Went out and there was these two little tiny
baby squirrels circling the tree but not even going back up the tree. I actually made a sling and
put them in the sling, got the ladder and hung them as high up in the tree as I could. I thought
mom might come back to get them. Over a day passed and they were still huddled in the sling.

I took them back inside in a cardboard box. I went to the vet and bought cans of milk....I think
it was kitten milk and some little tiny bottles. I ordered one of the cages and as they grew, I ordered
another cage.....turned it upside down and connected them so they would have height to climb.
I made a sling inside that they would play on and some times fall asleep on. There was also a
small home made box inside with a hole all the way through so they could go inside for darkness
and to sleep.

In the mornings I would say BREAKFAST and they both would come running to the front of the
cage for the bottle. I would hold the bottle up thru the bars of the cage to feed them. When
they got full, they would simply stop and run to play.

They are very fun to watch. Very playful. They chase each other and do all kinds of acrobats.

As they grew and could eat solids, I gave them raw peanuts and a walnut every so often...not
good to give them many fatty nuts like walnuts and pecans. I have tons of hickory trees and
the hickory nuts are every where so I would collect a few of those and give to them too.

As they grew, I would take them with their entire cage, outside on a dolly. I would sit them in
the woods so they could here the sounds.

Finally, one day Miss Red came to the bars of the cage and hollered WAAAAAAAA.....WAAAAAA....
WAWAWAWAAAAAA. She seemed surprised by her own extremely loud sound. I knew then it
was time for them to go.

That was a few years ago. Their cage is attached way up in a tree outside with roofing material
around it for protection. No, I don't think they live there any more but they did for awhile.

Miss Foxy
Actually there are two red fox's that love to steal stuff. Some of the raccoons do too but the two fox's are something else.

Here are some finches: angel, little guy and little guy junior. As you can see in the pictures finches are super tiny creatures.

My fluffy soft Angel, she's usually extremely camera shy but this picture is just perfect. :D

Little Guy, he's already passed away because of his old age.
I think these pictures show him 2 or 3 years before he passed away but i'm not sure exactly.
He was getting blind in both eyes 1 year before he passed away. In these images you don't see his blindness because i didn't take any more pictures of when he was getting blind. Finches are prone to loosing their eye sight with old age. At least he had a very spoiled and cumfy life.

Little Guy was never shy and sometimes even flew on my head or on my keyboarb just to get my attention :D

Little guy junior

As you can see on top of his head some feathers are sticking up as if he's some punk

@valerie -
I'm glad you posted the story/info about Miss Red and Mr. Grey, because I wasn't sure what to think from just the pic...

I thought they were your "house squirrels" maybe, having their very own duplex INSIDE your house...lol!

More to ask you, and more comments, but hafta do it later!

I say....you are like the Elly May Clampett of ClixSense!!
No idea you had so many woodland friends as well as the many other more usual critters you care for! :kitty: :puppy:

You have a VERY big and caring heart, woman!!

i can vouch for that wombat, infact all animal lovers have a soft heart, only those cruel to animals are selfish gits!

i have seen people abuse animals and just wonder ,why would they do that especially if its not a danger to you but i guess alot of people get thrills out of tormenting innocent fluffbugs,,,animals depend on us and we love their company so cherish em!

I would say I love most all animals.

I'm not fond of snakes or buzzards. I am far from thrilled with the moles too.....very aggravating creatures.

I've watched youtube videos of people that have squirrels as pets. It's a bad idea. They sure are
cute and my gosh, loads of fun to watch. I had no idea they were so playful. They do bite and it
does hurt! If you let them run free in your home, you would most probable have pee and poop every
where. If you leave them in a cage, you would need one that is extremely huge and even then, it
would be cruel. Squirrels need lots of room. They will climb way up to the tops of the highest trees,
build nests and such. Having a squirrel live it's life in a cage would be very cruel.

Everyone's loves are adorable. Hubby and I are the not-so-proud humans of a litter of feral kids plus mom, who wants the babies to go away now. She's so mean lately. I would love to post photos but I don't know how.
