I try to keep collars with noisy bells on the outside cats.
Eh, the cat collar bells are useless so at Christmas time I stocked up on JINGLE BELLS of all
sizes.

Every so often, a very unlucky bird or squirrel meets his demise by the paws of the ruthless cat hunters.

Sometimes kitties are able to get really good at moving in on prey without those bells making any noise....little boogers.

How they do it is one thing, but how do they even KNOW to do it in the first place?

The jingle bells helped 99%.

The little bells that often come with the cat collar, are useless.

It is kind of difficult to locate good cat collars. Now mostly all they want to sell is the
break away collars and those are a joke. I have bought the small dog collars for the
cats when I cannot find the regular cat collars. I don't put a cat collar on them tight
anyway and they can get out of a collar if they really need to.

Yep, totally agree about the collars, and the bells on them.

And I can't believe that, even with jingle bells, some of those little jungle wanna-bes manage to "work around" them, and move in silent but deadly stealth mode. :kitty:

The Goldfinch? I thought it was fake

And I tried bells for Hope once,it only drives her nuts.
Talk about cats being killers mine has a thing with spiders, when she has one,she will take her time removing all legs and she sits looking at the helpless spider....

Cats are like small lions and small tigers. If our cats were as large, they'd probably eat us.

Sounds like your cat has a mean streak in it.:)

As for my kids, none of them go after squirrels or birds. Mom taught them that tiny furries like voles and mice would make us happy so that's what they bring us. They play with them for hours after they're dead but don't eat them.

Today when I went out to feed them, 3 of them came in the house. The Runt, the larger gray, and Roll-y. it's too hard to get them out. i wish I could keep them in the house but the boss says NO. I've been petting the larger gray one outside when feeding and he's getting used to it now. Same with the white faced one but it's still too skittish. Patience is the key to that one.

Mom no longer wants anything to do with me since I'm paying attention to the kids. She can be mean at times and jealous when I holler at her for attacking the kids. She gives me the evil eyes and walks away.
