WHY does getting on a stationary bike for a strenuous session of pedaling suddenly need to be called SPINNING?
Because you are doing it in the same location as a number of other people - er WUTT??

Spinning is a technique. It's pedalling at 80-120rpm, which puts the onus onto your heart and lungs, as opposed to grinding, which is what I do, where you pedal at 30-60rpm. Between 60 and 80rpm is a grey area that hasn't got a name.

So that's either okay, if they're using the term properly, or much worse if they're using it incorrectly.

"Reach out to", arguably one of the most over used and meaningless phrases in the English language. I know it's supposed to conjure up images of helpful, supportive hands reaching out to someone. However, all I can think of is an image of weird, hairy hands reaching out to you on a subway platform or on a bus. I'm a "keep your hands to yourself" kind of person anyway. Keep your hands folded in front of you or in your pockets where they belong.

so then, :oops: here's ME looking and feeling rather ignorant.......

I am annoyed (to varying degrees) by corporate buzzwords.

The best example is when people use "moving forward" or "going forward" instead of "in the future". It just sounds very pretentious to me.
