The UN calculates that there are more than 7 billion living humans on Earth, yet 200 years ago we numbered less than 1 billion. Recent estimates suggest that 6.5 percent of all people ever born are alive right now. This is the most conspicuous fact about world population growth: for thousands of years, population grew only slowly, but in recent centuries it has jumped dramatically. Between 1900 and 2000 the increase in world population was three times greater than the entire previous history of humanity– an increase from 1.5 to 6.1 billion in just 100 years.

How far and how fast in future ? Next target 10 billion , 100 billion ?
Food ? Eat your own leg to survive ? Or I will eat you to survive ?
Sick Species ?
Time to join dinosaurus fate ?

The calculations of the Human population is based on many assumptions because no agency in the world till now has an accurate record of every birth and every death that happens on Earth. Everything are estimates, there are no facts. The conspicuous fact as mentioned by you tasman is also just an assumption becomes in those 1000's of years there was no way to calculate the population of the whole world. The dramatic increase in population is not at all dramatic if you look at it in a proper way. You must be aware of the referral systems at are seen in the ads on :clixsense: How it increases. It is not dramatic but mathematic. A couple has two children, the two children have four children, the four children have eight children and so on. So now the now is big enough to give a very big number. The population is not not growing at a faster rate but there are more people to give birth to more children.

But at the same time you will see that there are number of deaths taking place. Hospitals are full. There are many people suffering from many diseases. Now if you calculate with a certain logic, you will understand that the people who are born in a particular year will also tend to die in so many years. So if you see a boom in population in a particular year, you will also see a boom in the death rate after certain years, as those people tends to get old at the same time.
All these tend to keep the human figures balanced.

As the population moves up, the death rate also moves up. Now it is how people let go of their lives that will mark the population levels. Whether they prolong live with medicines or not. Ideally one may not be required to become a cannibal to survive. And we are not a sick species but an empowered species who can learn from the past, work smartly in the present and change things in the future.

The dinosaurs perished because they were animals, we are human beings, ideally things will be different for us.

Well I think is time to get back to :clixsense: and continue clicking and earning more and more dollars
So BANG - This far Greetings of the Season and that far Happy New Year.

perfectshops........... no data in the world can be perfect , still fact is , in the last 200 years we did add around 6 billion more people

you say ... dinosaurs perished because they were animals, we are human beings, ideally things will be different for us.

if animals perished what chance can we have ? none , why do you think that we are smarter ? we invented computers and the rest of sh.t ? that just tell us how fragile we are
today world , turn off internet and we will be dead in 72 hours , most of us

and current data is pretty much realistic , we add over 80 million people to the planet now every year

If Chinese, Indians, and others in the poorer world had consumption levels that rose to current western levels it would be like Earth’s population suddenly increasing to 72 billion

Do you know how much vegetable takes to produce 1 kg of meat

I've read in a danish science magazine that wer'e going to eat a lot of yummy insects in the future,Actually we don't have any choice if wer'e going to feed the entire population.

Or what about growing mushrooms on diapers or other waste disposal (Sounds absolutely delicious)

Have anyone tried salted Cockroaches??? I did once,They wer'e shaped like small cubes,Dipped in honey and then salted.Quite good but a bit more crunchy than a normal peanut,And for christ sake don't think about how they normally look like

Who cares if your beef is made from ants or a cow Right!!!! :D

This is one area people do not have to worry about.

The solution is simple:

-Stop having children
-Stop eating everything that moves
