What's the silliest thing you've done as a dare?

Back at the end of the 1980s we had a work function at a Spanish restaurant (Capitan Torres) on the edge of Sydney's Chinatown. The dining areas occupied several floors upstairs, and the stairs from the footpath/sidewalk were quite steep & very narrow. At the end of the night, and after a few beers (probably 10 to 15 if I count pre-dinner drinks), I joked to a workmate that I could sprint down the 60+ stairs without falling.

And I did! I was on auto-pilot! You remember the scene from Aliens where Lance Henrikson's character (the android "Bishop") does the knife trick where he machine-gun rapidly taps a sharp knife between the 5 fingers of a colleague's hand without drawing blood? Well, my feet were moving like that for the full 3 floors! I sprinted down the stairs, and then I shot like a cannon right across the 4 lanes of Friday night traffic on Liverpool St, and somehow I avoided being hit by a car.

The next day I was really amazed that I:

1) did not fall & break my neck &
2) did not end up as road fatality

I still remember those drunken hi-jinks 30 years later.

So I am just wondering, has anyone else done a really silly dare & ended up genuinely amazed that they somehow survived the experience?

The reason why you survived was because you were drunk! Naw I don't know.

I can't think of anything I did dangerously on a dare. I can think of a lot of stupid things
I have done but mostly not dangerous. I am too much of a scardy cat.

One time before I had my drivers license and was dating my husband to be, I almost ran
over someone. He would let me slide over in the car seat real close to him while he would
hug the door and I would take the wheel and drive. Kind of like what you would see a very
young child do with their father. So one night driving home from church, I had the steering
wheel and the next thing you know, he was throwing on the breaks. For some dumb reason
a man was walking down the highway and he was in fact in the highway more than on the
shoulder. That man came very very close to being dead. So needless to say, we never
drove like that again.

I can't remember the name of the drink but it was a dare to drink it.

A bunch of us was at this sports bar, it was loud and crazy on a game night. The drink had 2 drinks in one.
The bartender would put one drink in front of you, then drop another small one in really fast and light it on fire. The fire didn't last though. Well I was standing there waiting and watching it all and getting ready to do my drink, the bartender dropped the 2nd drink into mine and lite it on fire. Well when he dropped the 2nd drink into 1st drink it splashed on me and I didn't know it did, when he lite it one fire my hand caught fire. At the time I had acrylic nails on and a few of them melted..lol I was not hurt in anyway what so ever though.
 :o

Playing chicken on a bike....

So we got the brilliant idea to play a game of chicken with our dirt bikes. But we forgot to actually not to hit each other.

Or maybe it was more like no one wants to lose the game, needless to say it ended badly....
