Valerie, find you and Acupuncturist! I can't not begin to tell you how much mine has helped me. I have had several episodes of Sciatica, you know that's loads of fun! One needs to get to the root of the problem and not just treat the symptoms. And no the needles do not hurt! It is a combination of needles and a big Ten Unit that mine uses. It is not covered by insurance but it is worth the money.

I have had great luck in the past with Aleve and Epson Salt Baths (don't drown yourself!) LOL For the ESB the instructions are on the container.

It could be as simple as a Potassium deficiency OR there could be a problem with other muscles connected to your calf muscles. It could be a pulled muscle somewhere else that is causing the problem with your calf, if not
Try eating more Potassium rich foods. There are lots of them so pick the ones you like. Be careful with Potassium as if it gets out of whack it can mess up other bodily functions. For quick relief I use SalonPas or Blue Emu. It is instant relief and last 6 to 8 hrs. Australian Dream is said to be great too, It runs around $18 a bottle at Wal Mart.

I have a Tens Unit but don't use it any more.

My back pain is from picking people up out of the floor for years and picking them up out of
bed and into chairs, etc. Not to mention getting beat up a few times by old people that supposedly
was sick but stronger than an ox.

After my Quadruple bypass about 12 years ago I was
put on Lipitor but soon after I started to have problems
in my right ankle joints and found out that Lipitor was
a drug that could cause that among a few other bad
side effects. I told my Dr to take me off Statin drugs
and found the natural items to control my Cholesterol.
I still have the joint pain but only take 2 BP medications.
Trying to keep away from prescriptions as much as I can.

I have a Tens unit too which I find mostly useless. But Acupuncture is far beyond that. I would marry my Acupuncturist if I could catch him! LOL It really is not that expensive here. $25 for the visit and $43 for treatment. 8-) :D Currently my Acupuncturist is rebuilding my right knee! It is working too. Been several months at it, but beats the heck out of surgery!

Try putting a little vinegar in them when you cook them. That is if you are indeed referring to Flatulence! Like Shrek said: "Better out than In!" Also, I cook mine in my crock pot and get less problems with mass destruction. Toss them in there, cover them with water and cook them on high for three hours or on low for 6 to 8 hrs. Good stuff! 8-)

thing is i love beans in all shapes and sizes and i tend it eat so many,i mean like for dinner i will literally eat a whole bowl full and seconds to follow, then gotta sit tight for a good few hours,it will start off with a murmer then a shudder then the whole couch kinda shakes..................i guess beans are good to let a bit of steam off now and again, just direct it in the face of the person stressing you out!
