Just got back my electric power

Locked

#1 by humhum » Thu Mar 16, 2017 01:16

Hello

I just got my electric power after 25 hours and 30 minutes.

Quebec city area also got the big snowstorm with over 1 foot of snow and wind of over 60 MPH

At -5C or about 22F during the day, it got pretty cold inside and with almost all roads closed. Only few restaurants were open, but not close to home.

We managed and now it is going back to normal. Nothing lost in the fridge or freezer, that we did not open.

Have a good day.

Wait what? Normally folks up north that includes Maine, NH, and Quebec have wood stoves so they stay warm. I am taking it you don't have one? They usually put the food from the freezer and fridge in the garage or in a clean trash can outside in the snow as well. I was born and raised in Maine, 1 foot of snow isn't much at all.

First, one foot of snow, is the average.

We got 3 feet here.

And, how can you have a wood stove in an apartment ?

Tonight, the streets are almost are clear, at least in my area. They use snowblowers and trucks to transport the snow in special areas.
