I just wanted to share my opinion with advertising on traffic exchanges web sites to get referrals. They have not worked for me either way. Free or payments. If they work for you, I tip my hat off for you. I don't want to waste time on traffic exchanges anymore.

I have had some success with traffic exchanges, but, not a lot either. I have found that buying a "startpage" increases interest which sometimes equates to referrals. I have more luck with a long timer site, the 2 and 3 second viewing time is as useless as an autosurf.

Only thing worth money I spent getting them banner ads on ptc sites. I get 750k-1m impressions a day to clixsense banners for $1.33 a day. Netting 15-25 refs a day. Short term at least break even if not small profit. As they earn the $2 signup bonus safe bet become very profitable long term. The banner ads on a monthly subscription via 2checkout and plan to keep it long term.

Send traffic via ptc ads even at cheap ads were not worth it only banner ads been profitable.

For my own sites I find smaller traffic exchanges net buyers which what I want. Some my best customers came from some pretty dead traffic exchanges. Some can surf one day have enough credits last year so few use them. So sometimes bad ones might be best. Other sites need surf daily keep traffic up.

Ahahahah why whats wrong a site is generating traffic for itself ,I have noticed on a prime traffic exchange site scores of Clixsense members maybe its not working for everyone maybe you need to give it some more time.

Thank you and I"m eating my own words. I just got a referral from a traffic site.

I gave up on TE's and trying to get referrals. I have one
semi active referral and given up on trying to get more.

I actually agree with jjohnson777 banners work...period.

I saw someone offering $57 custom splashes. His example for brainy clixsense one nice. I like banners he made alot of ones top clixsense promoters use I plan buy bunch more. I had bunch custom banners made for clixsense. They get higher clicktru rate. Some fivierr people offer 6 or 12 for $5. The default ones work but custom way to go.

So not only need spend money on banner ads but also buy few custom ones every few months. I put my name on mine its got such bad reputation yet see people use them.

Bad reputation I find handy I got lower dispute rate as people buy ones over looked info (or my dirt cheap get them too than they keep buying see that others wrong). I not only grant refunds I too lazy take down their ads so they get money and free ads I had people buy once saw that saw results worth buying later on. I recommend having good reputation but once bad can be liberating as just hit refund button and not have to put up with them blackmailing you as you do not care. I get reputation sites offering remove bad feedback like I pay. I known owners way worse than me not known as they got someone take heat or use whois protection services.
