Now a days the biggest curse that man faces is global warming which has made life miserable .some parts receive greater rain than expected while some other parts suffer scarcity of rain. there are many factors leading to global warming and hence melting of snow .according to me the worst factor for it is the excessive use of refrigerators and air conditioners that release lots of chlororoflurocarbons causing holes in the ozone umbrella. others may have different opinion pls express your views regarding global warming

Global warming is actually on its way down and the Ozon layer have started repairing it self and holes are getting less and last shorter . Only the underdevelloped countries have not yet cars that go 20 + kilometer on a liter of gass and with exhaust cleaning system . The Refrigerators and Air conditioners have also been ajusted to extreem low outlet . Even some countries still is far behind huge progress in the right way have already been made .

since we are still considered to be in a ice age, of course there is global warming. not till both polls are devoid of any ice is a ice age over.

now given this has happened many times before without humans around??? i should also point out 1/3 of the world is covered in either ice or tundra.

what is the down side to the land being usable?

what is the upside to there being more ice? places like florida and california are more livable for humans and prices stay up. if you could have a beach side house in the antartica welll???

i should also point out if CO2 and such things are so bad, why isn't all this money collected from carbon taxes going to reforest the rainforest's??? that is where the majority of co2/o2 conversion takes place that is within our control. yet none of it goes there, they spend it on pet projects like handing out buss passes???

yeah yeah lining their pockets on the sad feelings of people.

Florida the prices are cheap. That is why people retire to Florida. Of course, if you are wanting ocean front
house, that can be mighty expensive but even ocean front condo's are not out of average income earners
reach.

Global Warming IS an issue. The reality is, it was probably an issue before man walked on earth. The
planet tends to go through cycles and if you were spinning around on axis for thousands of years, you
might choke every now and then too.

I think all humans should take responsibility and realize the earth is the only place we have to live right now.
Therefore, we need to respect the planet and all the resources it has to offer including animals. We have
to stop the destruction of each other, of the animals, of the vegetation, and take care of everything in a
respectful and appreciative manner.

Do you throw trash along the highway because other people do?
Do you kill animals because other people do?
Do you run up your electric bill because it is the lazy thing to do?

I don't think it is about Global Warming. I think it's about People. 'People Warning' they should call it.

There are things that are going to change no matter what. As human's with supposedly a brain, we need
to at least try to protect our planet for future generations, if not for ourselves.

That's a restatement of the problem, not a rebuttal of it. You're saying "It's getting warmer in here, of course it is, it's getting warmer".

This image is too long to embed in a forum, but have a look at this. It'll explain the difference in very simple terms.

Politicians being cockwombles does not make science wrong.

Yes. If I had to guess one person who would say that, it would have been you.

Global warming is caused by humanity, we destroy the place where we live, when we throw garbage, burn, using plastic, cutting trees, etc. Only to please our needs and without seeing the need of the planet.
We must have more awareness in everything we are doing.

Human overpopulation causes global warming. While the Earth has had periods of warming and cooling in the past, we are now in the midst of accelerated warming greater than anything we've ever seen and it is having a huge impact on the Earth and its ecosystem. Much of the Great Barrier Reef is now covered with dead coral reefs due to the ocean warming. Scientists also refer to this age as being one of the great extinction periods on Earth because human activity is causing entire species of animals to disappear.

One of the greatest impacts on global warming is the raising of cattle for consumption. They release massive amounts of methane into the air and this actually harms the planet more than all the car emissions. A cow releases up to 120 kg of Methane per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide (CO2) but it's important to note that the negative effect on the climate of Methane is 23 times higher than the effect of CO2. So, the release of 100 kg of methane per year is equal to about 2300 kg CO2 per year.

If people would switch to a plant based diet and stop eating meat, they would have a positive impact on the environment as well as being healthier themselves. It's also important to note that every day we lose acres and acres of trees which are cut down to make room for cattle grazing. Those trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. They are essential to the planet's health.

Fewer people, far fewer cattle, the use of sustainable energy, public transportation instead of personal vehicles and the use of electric instead of gasoline powered vehicles would do a lot to address global warming.

But methane only stays in the atmosphere for nine to twelve years. CO2 lasts for hundreds. C02 must be stabalised, or we're screwed for centuries. In today's context, methane is more about handling the peak levels of warming than the overall warming. It's still important, but C02 is the one that's going to kill us, the one we need to stop. Now.

With the huge caddle and pig farms most of the Methane could easy be used to make Methane fuel . In the end there would be a small profit to make for these huge farms to make by doing it and it would reduce polution . It is the huge production of manure that gives the Methane and it is easy to convert into Methane fuel .

Global warming is caused mainly by the depletion of the ozone layer reason industrial gasses, developed countries have put in a technology whereby all industrial emission is ebsorbed within the industrial unit no release of smoke or gasses in the atmosphere but underdeveloped countries are not rich enough to put in place the technology the most polluting countries in the world are CHINA INDIA BRAZIL they all ignore it,too much of coal is used in our industry and power generating units releasing posinious gases into the atmosphere five years ago in a global warming summit the US president did ask our PM why India could not comply with global norms our PM replied we are a poor country we cannot afford the technology and our Industry does not care

Same problem have existed due to greed in most other countries , including my own . Here and in most other countries the changes was enforced by law and fines to the state for not complying . Your PM should consider it , all in all Good for the country in every way .

India pollutes about one tenth as much as the USA. Brazil pollutes about an eighth as much as the USA. China about half as much as the USA.

The USA is the highest polluter in the world except the oil field countries the USA imports all it's oil from, and Australia.

Blaming poor countries is a feel good myth for rich white countries. It only works at all if you fail to adjust per capita.
