There are many exercise that we practice to stay fit like walking , swimming, jogging aerobic exercises, dancing, cycling and several others. all have several benefits as well as defects for instance too much jogging can lead to osteoporosis as experts say . my favourite exercise is swimming which keeps all p[arts of the body active likewise other members may have different options pls share your opinion here also wishing you all a happy easter :D

I also enjoy swimming. I use to have a pool and it really helped me with my back lots. However I am very active daily so walking is something I don't have to do. I figure all that working on the farm keeps me pretty much in shape and walking around the yard with the dog every hour.

Raju,
You've probably heard the phrase Mens sana in corpore sano, which is transliterated to English as A healthy mind in a healthy body.

The exercises you mentioned above do help keeping the body & mind healthy as well as fit.

Swimming was also my favorite exercise & sport in the younger days. I used to swim in the nearby clean water pond maintained by the local club. As a member my fav. activities were swimming in the morning to almost afternoon (till the eyes became red as hibiscus lol...) and playing table tennis in the evening. :)

I have a few exercise machines. One I purchased several years ago and it was a little on the expensive side.
It a flex bow and has a lot to it. It's real TALL and I always hated the space it takes up. I keep it over in the
shop because there is no room for it in the house.

More recently I purchased an exercise bike and an exercise stepper. Both of them I use every few days.
They were both very inexpensive. I think I gave only 90 bucks for the bike and 80 bucks for the stepper.
They're made very well and I like them so I use them.....unlike the huge contraption I have in the shop
that cost be ten times those amounts.

I go for a brisk walk around my property daily when the weather allows.

I'm kind of like 'hirive' in that there is always work to do around here.

My veggie garden is tilled and I put some large bags of fertilizer mixed in too.

This morning I planted one tomato plant in a very large pot on my balcony. I almost feel like it might
do better than the ones I plant in the garden.

The 'twirlers' are falling like crazy. I call them 'twirlers' for lack of a better word. They are from the trees
when they begin to bud and bloom. The twirlers go every where.....I hate them.....hate hate hate. I swept
those off the balcony today and as I swept ten, twenty more landed.

I keep saying I am going to learn some dances and get exercise at the same time. They have tons of
videos at youtube of people teaching dances and exercise to dance. I always look like a fish out of water
when I dance.

I don't think people were meant to be sedentary.

I use to do a lot of swimming,but now a days I do my 5 k walk
4 days a week and 4 to 5 days a week play table tennis.
I still hit that little sphere pretty good,as many of the better
players still love to play against me.Just because I do not beat
them, playing against them keeps my game up.

Yes its very necessary to stay fit,if you land up in a hospital they will make you unfit,I have never landed up in a hospital in my life and I never did anything for it just lived in a routine and stayed active,in our country doctors dont come on duty regularly and where they do they make shure you dont leave a hospital quickly.

all of us are responsible for our own health where its possible, like good diet, regular exercise,no extra marital affairs, don't need anxiety or stress from your partners :D

for any unforeseen circumstances, which are beyond our control, a trip to E.R is a must. Alot of people leave problems till the last minute when they become too severe, prevention is best from the outset.

i know visiting the doctor or trip to the hospice can be a daunting and worrying thought but believe me it could save your life!

my advice is,if anyone has an inkling that something is not right, best get your coat on and get seen A.S.A.P.

this is the best exercise that everyone can follow. I have also good experience walking in my property during favourable weather and I am free from all sorts of life style diseases at age of 40 and do not know what will happen in the future any way brisk walking is a very beneficial form of exercise
