update on Dark Table

#1 by dutch1898 » Sun Apr 23, 2017 21:49

As I had mentioned sometime ago for the Birthday
celebration of my daughter and wife we went to the
place called Dark Table, the restaurant where the
servers are all blind, and the dining room is pitch black.
Amazing experience, fabulous food and every one loved it.
Because of the darkness,no cellphones,I-pods etc. So everyone
is conversing with one and another. I gave it 5 stars.
If you ever find a place like it ion your area,I would say
go and do it.

Does this mean it's the perfect place for a blind date ? :D :D

So if everything is pitch black how the bloody hell can people eat ? What about security concerns ? City code ? How is this even allowed ? Sorry but I would never eat in a place like that. I would hate to think what the people are doing in the kitchen, with your food. No thanks. If we live in a society where people can socialize only when it's pitch black, then it's hopeless, time to find a new planet to live on ! :D I like to SEE what I am putting in my mouth and what's on me plate.

It is a time to walk in the shoes of blind people and experience
what it would be like if you were blind.

i do feel so sorry for blind people and its such a tragedy that they haven't got their sight, but i believe when god takes one thing away he replaces it with some magical gift.

i have seen documentaries on ppl with no hands or arms or legs yet they produce beautiful artistic paintings with a paintbrush in their teeth!
some blind people have a beautiful gift for playing musical instruments and even singing!
people who are all intact sometimes take things for granted and yes your are right dutchy, sometimes it worth the experience of putting yourself into someone else's shoes for the day and see what they have to go through ,day in day out 24/7.
