Clixsense need get rid of ptc section. They do not want to be the next blockbuster. They refuse to change their business model.

Blockbuster didn't adapt online streaming. A few years they went bankrupt for good.

It can happen other ptc owner refuse to change their business model. Everything can't stay forever at all.

David this site probably breaks even at best on ptc part. The profit from offers and tasks. So you need to use brain before talk about this site not changing its one few who did. Now clicksia did not add offers and tasks. If William had site still be around.

Jj I am talking about Clixsense owner. It's time to drop ptc ads and adgrid. Since it's not going be profitable anymore in a few years from now.

how do you know what is and what isn't profitable? heck you know what would make this site really profitable? removing any country other then aussy, eu, uk, canada and usa.

while we are at it might as well remove anything outside of usa/canada as it is troublesome to pay them or find things they qualify for?

this can be worked down to just one item that is highly profitable.

bottom line is paid to view ads do have a place on the Internet, what do you think bringing in a tv app or tv content is they pay you to click on it then watch ads. it is just another medium for it. majority of offers are same way other then the ones who want your information to sell to others, which i should point out might just become illegal one day and those be gone.

bottom line is the site that will lat the longest offers the most types of content. click, watch, survey, etc.

you grow by adding things, not removing them.

jeeeeez.

I just went to do one of my daily sites that I have been doing for the past 19 years, and it has closed it's doors. Who would have thought a PTC site that had been going for that long would just up and close with no warning signs, in fact I made 4 cents there yesterday clicking 2 ads.. Back in December they paid me my pending $25 and change, and now this. I was half way to payout again already too.

I hope I never get that shock some morning when I come here. I would be in total tears if Clixsense ever went away. But that was just such a shock to me, after I have been so faithful to them for so long. It's a sad day when we see the old dependable sites close up.

The owner of clixsense quote in emoneyspace.

Companies look at PTC traffic as garbage and refuse to work with companies like ours. I have talked about removing PTC from ClixSense and also posted a poll in our forum about this. PTC is slowly dying and Paypal is helping kill it off. I can't say what will happen in ClixSense but don't be surprised if we remove it at some point.

It's not allowed to discuss other PTCs, but if they closed down isn't it bloody irrelevant ? It's hits4*** :D :D

After 19 years they shut down - be thankful they lasted that long. Majority of so-called PTCs now are nothing more than ponzi schemes in disguise. The reason given by the admin is that advertisers are no longer happy with results. I don't know if this is rubbish or not but the PTC industry caters mostly to fraudulent ads and money making schemes, let's face it, the member base on said PTCs are not going to buy a Ferrari :P The #1 niche for PTC is advertising HYIP and money making schemes, and other PTCs. Advertise scammy sh*** and you'll get good conversion, advertise real programs and you'll get sh** results. Real model PTCs based on. Then you have thousands of people mass advertising the same bloody ads everywhere creating saturation so of course the results will not be as expected. The number of scams online is increasing, so potential to advertise these on PTC, but I guess this not a model that every advertiser subscribes to.

ClixSense is a PTC and massive rewards site, can it survive without PTC ? Yes. There are not that many "PTCs", actually most SO-CALLED PTCs are PONZI schemes. The majority of income comes from expensive upgrades and renting of bots referrals. You will see these sites come and go all the time, lasting few months and shutting down. Some manage to last longer like PROBUX :D

Is PTC dying ? Yes, people can't be arsed to earn 4 cents a day anymore, with offers and tasks as a good earning opportunity and still people are being greedy and CHEATING, not thinking of the future. So with crowd and offers / GPT as a good alternative to earn, people move towards that. The problem here is international users who cannot benefit form surveys / offers or many tasks will have a hard time as they rely on PTC element. So those would simply shift towards other sites, regardless of whether they sell bots or not, scam or not, ponzi or not, the QUICK ways to earn will always get most work as people want to make $$$$ and not work for it.

What will happen to ClixSense and NB ? nobody knows. Will NB be the last man standing ? Who knows. But if there are no other PTCs left to advertise, how would they survive ? Advertisers will find other non PTC sites - It appears NB is advertiser friendly, they accept ANY ads, HYIP, MLM, pyramid, etc, as they place the entire responsibility on the reader. So they could survive - What about those who rely on referrals. NB is king of traffic :) so if they lose the PTC, referrals would go along with it, then it means a large portion of the member base will be in shock. So if CS and NB shift gears, a good % of international members might feel left out #1) CF is doomed, rubbish tasks, crappy task authors, crappy support, I don't see any good future for crowd tasking. Automation is getting better and better and only a small % will be manual eventually. Offers - a lot of scammy offers and rubbish surveys, and these are mostly tier 1 friendly with very limited exposure to non tier 1. I feel at some point GPT will get overly saturated and suffer eventually. This will translate into dilution of jobs and earnings so you are right back to square one. Will the dying of PTC help revive the stagnant HYIP industry ? YES. With BTC gaining in popularity I expect the number of HYIPs and revenue sharing rubbish to flourish in the next years........

Nothing will replace getting a real ******* job ! but the availability of legit sites where one can earn a supplement to income will become scarce, over shadowed by the scams !

Yeah it's easy for some people to say remove non tier 1 countries from sites - Check CrowdFlower statistics by country. I don't think tier 1 countries can be arsed working on tasks when they can earn dollars from surveys and offers. There was a time when I earned 2 digits from offers and surveys, and yet what you see the cesspool of rubbish tasks are low paid jobs, with unfair corrections, authors who hand out flags without reason and support refusing to remove them without enough complaints, even if those are unfair. Non tier 1 countries are the most active in CF traffic and bring in tasking revenues far more than those of US/CA/UK. Tier 1 = Surveys and offers Tier above = Tasks mostly. It's not beneficial for any site owners to only accept Tier 1 countries, when they offer crowd tasks. The few GPTs that I know who only accept US members alone or US/CA/UK are those offering surveys exclusively.
