One could also argue that laws are a way of forcing the will of the few upon the many. After all, most laws are written and passed by the wealthy to control the behaviour of the poor & working classes.

Yep , as Irish folks say.....Laws grind the poor, and rich men rule the law.

but animals don't distinguish or respect their parents and treat mother as mates but humans consider mother as divine if we were animals then it is equivalent to be called savage

I have not voted .our politicians are the law makers if the law in your country is not right even you are responsible you voted for them,in our country people have just pressed the button on the voting machine ,very few have even seen who the candidate was his record,so naturally our lawmakers are law breakers we all have to bear the responsibility for it.

Reading all post here I am not happy . It looks to me that we are bad species , we are only species who must have a law to hold us from showing what are we in reality. No law and we will destroy our self in instant

On scale 1-10 for all species on planet I rate humans under 1 . We just think that we are something , but reality say that we are bad apple on this planet

Disapointed to the bone

yes your are right tasman, the law is there to protect us in more ways than one,,,but some bills passed in parliament i dont necessarily agree with but thats another episode and topic.

bouldrake has mentioned an important point which is how far we cross the line when it comes to obeying the law,,marcel has said we humans are naive and laws will be broken obviously.

some laws are for the governments benefit and some for us civilians, whether we act civil or not, that remains to be seen :?

The strange thing is that, when you look at the national heroes (legendary or real) of many countries & cultures, most were law-breakers. Robin Hood, Ned Kelly, Jesus Christ, Paul Revere, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela. The list goes on & on.

Those heroes was made at a time were tyrants was ruling and torturing the people . If those heroes had been successful and had overthrown the leaders at the time they might not have been spoken of as heroes for long . They were system critics that tried changing the system and dared speaking up . But if they had become the new leaders they might have become shown up becomming just as bad tyrants them self .That has happend to many sucessful system critics that have taken over ruling countries . But there is always a hope that a system critic might be better than the present leader .
