I've always said to myself that, when my online activity starts affecting my happiness, I will take a break.

Lately there have been too many nasty things said in this forum (such as quotes from the Nazi Party in the Quote of the Day topic, endorsement of violent criminal gangs in the Music topic, and graphic descriptions of violence in another thread).

I realised tonight (it is 1:30am here) that the things I have been seeing here lately are starting to send me into a bad state mentally. The mean comments stick in my mind and have started affecting my sleep & other aspects of my life.

So I'm going to cash in what I have in my account, block my browser from accessing ClixSense for a while, and take that break I promised myself.

I do know that I could just avoid visiting the forum, but that is not me. I like participating at ClixSense, and the forum is a major part of that. So to quit the forum I really have to quit visiting the site.

I'll try to drop by in a few weeks to see if things have improved. There are some very good people here that I will miss (such as tas, BouldRake & pindo), but I just need to get away for a while from the horrible side of the forum as it is genuinely affecting not just my happiness, but also my health.

I probably need a break anyway. I shouldn't be spending so long on the PC at the expense of living a real life.

Bye everyone - hopefully I will make it back here if I start to feel better about it.

I won't be making any further posts in this topic or any other during my time away from here.

you are also one of the oldest members and lots of members look upto you,,would have loved to have you as moderator then you could've issued warnings to all of them who offended you.

this is a sad day for one of our oldest members,someone who i quite admired actually,not a topic to be laughed at

its very unfortunate that some topics in this forum can be so emotionally provoking for some people,which i understand,
some members may think their topics pose no damage or hurt to others but infact they are wrong,,,its just that some people dont show their emotions as openly as some,then again why should they?

Pindo , we all know what Seaeagle ment and there are only 1 member active in forum left that are making these postings . I actually disaprove of them equally much and so do probably most other members . Seaeagle is right the moderators should strike hard down and try to stop it .

Not a newcomer Pindo . The member has been here 9 month longer than me . But the rasistic and mdk postings have first started inside the last 3 month .

And what its the matter for you, the things one people says. If you give him power to affect you or any in here, its your own problem, and maybe its something wrong whit yourself. Its funny the emotional level of people in the first world. Maybe you all should get out of your confort zone and see the real world; full of alot of bad things that we could not avoid, just learn to live whit it.
