One site I am a member of pays you for trying. They give you a "spin a wheel" thing, where you can win a prize of a penny or two, or a similar sized bonus, that you can only claim on your next completed survey. Of course, it's rigged, and your chances of winning a prize are related to the number of surveys you successfully complete, so they're paying well under 1p for every attempt.

You know how they pay for it?

They pay £1.33 - about $1.70 - for the same survey that Clixsense pays $5.80 for.

That's the actual reality.

Surveys give you an opportunity to qualify. Just as when you apply for a job, you may or may not get the job. If you qualify for the job and you're accepted for the job, that's when you will be paid. If I were to be paid for all the jobs I interviewed for but did not get while also being paid for my time, I think I might be rich.

Imagine to apply for a job and if you're not selected you say to the boss

Yo who is going to pay for the ink and paper used to print my CV? I come to your office to answer your questions ect, I think you could pay me at least 1 hour, it's not going to hurt your wallet, or in case it is then you can decrase the money paid to the current workers. I think its fair

I've applied to the same company no less than nine times in the last twelve months. My cunning plan is to acquire a job I'm not qualified for, and then get promoted to one I am qualified for. So far, it hasn't worked, but I definitely think they should financially reward my tenacity.

there's a difference a job pays you monthly if you manage to not mess up while the surveys pays you one time until you get qualified to another, not to mention that surveys pays differently
