The final goal is immortality

For how much will you sell your body in this abnormal world

Human head transplant surgeon claims ‘breakthrough’
A controversial surgeon who aims to carry out the world’s human head transplant claims to have had a breakthrough with a rat experiment.
Professor Sergio Canavero says that he has successfully repaired severed spinal cords in rats – a key step towards a successful transplant.

Neuroscientist Professor Canavero claims his technique – which he describes as the Gemini Protocol – ‘works across the board’.
The team severed the spinal cords of rats, then treated them with polyethylene glycol to seal and repair damaged spinal cord nerve cells.

Within a month, the rats had recovered some movement – and two returned to a state that was ‘basically normal’.
Canavero claims that researchers led by Xiaoping Ren at Harbin Medical University have previously performed a head transplant on a monkey – connecting up the blood supply between the head and the new body.
They did not attempt to connect the spinal cord – but Canavero says that the experiment shows that if a monkey’s head is cooled to -15 °C it can survive the operation without brain injury.

Canavero has previously admitted, "The final goal is immortality."

He says that there has aready been interest from ultra-rich patients seeking to extend their lives by grafting ageing heads onto fresh, young bodies.

Dr Canavero said last year, "You bet – there are a few funds working on prolonging life expectancy, and they are well-funded."

Claim: Doctors have performed the first successful human head transplant.
Fact check by Snopes.com: FALSE

The article about the South African transplant was a just a hoax from the News Examiner, a fake news site.

real or was it false is not important
they will continue until they can do it
and that is bad , in future they will use poor people body as spare parts for rich
Before it is late maybe it will be better poor get rid of all rich and powerfull

We already have an overpopulation problem leading to food and water shortages. Until we are able to successfully travel between and terraform other planets perhaps we shouldnt be striving for immortality. End poverty and find a way to have enough food and water for everyone that they can afford are goals I would prefer.

Using poor people as body / organ donors in the future is not needed , but forbidden by law . Cloning humans got forbidden by law due to it most likely would be used for body farming . Rich people would do exactly as Tasman write and have clones made for spare parts in attempt to reach immortality to keep their bodies ever young and healthy . It would be fun to see how the world looks like in 100 to 200 years , but to live that long on expence of other living thinking creatures should be kept forbidden by law .
