While it is sad and very surprising I also personally welcome the change.

I think for websites such as this to survive and progress they need to move away from the PTC industry.

Exciting times ahead!

Thank you. Most members will not realize that with the new 20% commissions you will earn much more money than you did before :)

I am looking forward to the changes. With the removal of the PTC does that mean we may eventually have Paypal as a option once again?

Thank you

Yes, indeed! ClixGrid and the PTC Ads are going to go away on July 15th. That means that the only things that we can do on our checklists are the offers and the forums. That's the bad news; however, there is a little good news for us. That would potentially mean that to get some of the money back, ClixSense would have to pay us $5 every time we do something on the forum.

Without ptc ads 99% of my referrals wont be able to do anything as most of them can't do surveys and can't or wont do tasks. Almost everything has come from clicks, and the possibility to get the $2 when referrals earn their first $5. Maybe 15 out of 300+ referrals may possibly be able to earn $5 sometime now (if the $2 for earning first $5 stays)

And to make things worse my entire plan was to reinvest my earnings to advertise, especially on the Clixgrid have turned to dust. I just recently spent something like $300 to advertise Clixsense, got many referrals but indeed mostly people that can only get the ptc ads.

I had finally reached a point where I would have been able to do repeated 180 day clixgrid advertising with my Clixsense earnings. but now I have a feeling I wont even get the money I spent advertising Clixsense back within the next 4 years, again because people don't receive survey offers and tasks are too complicated for most people to bother with / if they can get any.

I'm just sad on so many levels right now...

I would have wished that advertising would have stayed... Do all these changes combined at least mean that Paypal can be used again?

It would be interesting to know more about what sites can be partnered with now that would refuse or refused Clixsense before. I am hoping that it will be good in the long run, and not as bad as it makes me feel right now.

I've always loved Clixsense, and love your honesty and support Jim. Hope it is indeed for the best.

Hmmm? Not sure how I feel about this, I only ever made money here on PTC, roughly $1-2 per day, which I counted on to pay my monthly phone bill. Will now have to seek out a new revenue stream because I'll be damned if I'm going to spend 10 minutes filling out survey questions, only to be told I'M NOT QUALIFIED...seems to me one should be able to tell if someone qualifies or not with FEWER screening questions. These surveys quite often feel like a scam, to glean information off people for free. They should at least pay 5 cents each just for the attempt, otherwise these surveys are just TIME VAMPIRES!

I'm ready to quit too in light of all this (thanks a lot, Paypal!)...but I'll lose $5.00 if I do. :(

Will VideoLab still be around so that when I hit at least $10.00, I can have that as my final payment, at least?

Your comments regarding the PTC aspect of this site:

Quote:And lastly, from a revenue standpoint, it's not profitable at all.

If it wasnt profitable, you could have knocked down the commissions on the referral clicks from 20% to 10% to be in line with offers. You could've charged the same price to advertisers who were already willing to pay that price and paid out less while starting to turn a profit. You are bound to have the exact same issue all over again boosting commissions on referral offers to 20%. As you state, you will most likely push this back down to 15% (which i predict will happen within a few months). Wait a year and I'm sure this rate will be right back down to 10%, because hey, if you weren't making any profit offering 20% commissions on referral clicks clicks, how will you when offering 20% on offers....

Quote: the PTC side of our business has been on a downward slide for some time now

I certainly cant speak for the members from around the world (i have heard that ads for some other countries have been few and far between), but here in the U.S. we have been getting a plethora of ads to click for about the last year and a half now. Some wonderful advertiser has been paying to promote page views with his half cent ads. These campaigns dry up every now and then for a few weeks but then come roaring back. I know this has been my favorite part of this site, and I even made referrals of some family and friends because of it. if you can convince this advertiser to offer the same campaigns through the offers category (perhaps as part of the windows explorer option), then I will still be a happy user. If not, you will lose me and I have no doubt my referrals forever (as i personally know all of them and had at least one mention to me during that poll you had a few months back that they'll stop using this site without the ads).

Quote:The negative side of things is a bit more extreme. This caused us to lose our Paypal account (or so they claim)

a certain other bux site also displays those half cent ads that i mentioned. They also have a very well earned negative reputation (quite the opposite of clixsense), but they still have paypal. I have heard it is because they don't have the multi-tiered referral system as clixsense does (they only have one level of referrals). i don't know if this is true or not, but it certainly means it wasn't the PTC factor alone that caused paypal to discontinue services with Clixsense and it certainly wouldv'e been to everyone's advantage for you to find out the real reason. If true, you could have just as easily gotten rid of that multi-tiered system (and i'm sure upwards of 99% of us wouldn't even care) and still maintained paypal for funding and withdrawals.

As I've seen people already posting here and also before when you had a poll dedicated to asking whether people would be willing to get rid of PTC, a lot of people will simply stop using this site because of this decision. Now if you can convince the PTC advertisers to advertise over the offers sections, then hey, all is well and I'll still be here every day. Instead of clicking on cats, I'll just be using the websites explorer or something of that nature. Otherwise, it's a shame it has to end like this...

So this just wiped out many years of my referring work. I have been referring and working here so that I could build up a residual income, not to click surveys all day. I do have another job and lots of online work to do plus I don't want online sites gathering a ton of personal information on me.

Maybe one of the reasons the PTC has slowed down is because of the no minimum daily click requirement which kept many people from clicking. Myself included. Most of the bigger sites do this and it should increase activity

I was also an advertiser here and the PTCs were the method. They are great for some things. Maybe you could split the site into two and create another site for PTCs and the multi level referrals? If not then good bye. There are other sites out there where my advertising dollars can go and that are giving me a lot more money than here. I was ready to start building back my cash and referring after being devastated with the paypal loss but it looks like every time we recover the admin finds another way to toss us to the ground

It's no big deal. I'll say thanks for nothing....including not even trying for the people who got you where you are today

Finally, why did you lock the announcement topic? We are your customers and workers and you just cut off our access like that? :(

That's all bad 'karma' dude

Guys I am happy with the decision.
Think that how much you earn from daily ptc?
2$ or 3$ in a month?
I don't remember when I had earned from clixgrid.
In fact it was very boring to do 20 clixgrid to complete check list bonus.
I am very happy that we won't need to these boring things.
And guys we will get 20% refferal bonus.
It will be really very beneficial for us.
I have only one doubt in my mind that I have purchased premium membership 2 months ago.
What will be done with that?

I don't like doing the surveys because you are wasting an hour or more getting qualified then a month later, you get a reversal with really no specific reason (just the generic, you have a reversal message) that brings me to a negative. So I stopped doing surveys because I am not going to have the risk of having it reversed with no specific reasons why.

I for one, love the PTC. You may not make a lot of money, but I am not sure how this isn't making any money for you. But it's not my business website, so I feel like maybe you can listen to your members, and maybe keep the PTC, maybe raise the prices of advertising here. But what is done is done and if this is final, then I have to bite the bullet on it. Hopefully the advertisers will just go on the windows explorer instead.

I don't see how this is a good things. Those two things were 90% of my earnings. The offers are not there everyday and you don't quailify for most of them, the video games don't pay and I have never understood the tasks.

Oh well. Nothing lasts forever.

First I would like to thank Clixsense for offering me a way to make extra bill money each moneth and for a time a whole lot of extra money when I had more time each night to work on surveys here....however with the recent news....I must say that while I have loved working through Clixsense....and while PTC only made me an average of a dollar a month as I only did required clicks mostly to make my checklist.......and mainly worked on offers and surveys......I refuse to waste my time on tasks when surveys are way more profitable......and at the same time without the benefit I have enjoyed of being a upgraded member I will be making far less doing surveys here than I will be on other legitimate sites that I also work through at times that offer the same surveys but pay more and also pay me daily instantly through paypal........without the daily checklist bonus for an upgraded member being what it is now at 16% when I complete it...and being cut to only 10% increase that doesnt sound like a lot but that is 60 cents for every $10 earned.......I needed that 16% to justify doing surveys sometimes here compared to other sites....because of the lower payout...like Tap survey router so on...other sites the same surveys pay out more.....while I dont plan to stop using clixsense its just that this new plan totally limits more the survey routers I will use here or surveys I will attempt here due to I know what companies pay out more elsewhere ....and with a lower bonus earning potential I must as anyone would make the most I can for myself and my own family...just like your decision to eliminate PTC for the good of the site is to help you I must do what is best for myself......being an upgraded member here gave me advantages that I loved and enjoyed...loosing that now I cant see the earning potential being as good as before....and with other sites offering more money and paying through paypal instantly on a daily basis as many times a day you want to cash out...or offering payment with a check weekly so long as you have earned at least $15 or more...I am just very saddened by all that has happened to the site I loved.....and while PTC wasnt at all what I made the most money with....I did enjoy it at times as it was easy.....and also if you wasnt making money with PTC then why do it 10 years I mean I have paid for ads myself to be ran through PTC here...I know that money was made off me doing that...I didnt get to do it for free so I do believe some profit had to be made....yes there are lots of scam sites in PTC but there are fake sites all over the internet for even department stores now days....I mean people out there trying to pretend to be Target and so on now days.....I am just saddened by the fact upgraded members loose 6 total percent off our bonus.....as well as a way to add a few cents here and there in profits as well....I will still use the site and earn what I can doing what surveys I can do offered here that are not on other sites I use....but it will cause me to use the site much less without the 16% bonus.....unless payouts for tap and Global so on becomes increased to what they are elsewhere I will mainly just do Samplico offers here and Opinion Network....the other routers usually just dont pay enough to justify doing here without the 16% bonus and some didnt even with it compared to the payouts for same surveys through same routers elsewhere....I am not knocking the site at all...I love Clixsense and have forever and am always telling people about it everywhere I go....but it greatly saddens me much.....because I am loosing earning potential and must look elsewhere to compensate the loss ...as the time I do have to work online...I want to make the most of my time just the same as a company wants to make the most of its profits....thank you again clixsense for your honesty and telling us up front ahead of time these things...much respect for you...but am very saddened to hear of the decrease in earning potential for us upgraded members
