Is moustache a symbol of masculine

some people argue that moustache is essential for masculine appearance, in olden times this belief was strong but in the modern world I think it has no significance. But I feel that moustache and beard are the most landmark appearance that nature has provided to men . this may be the reason why people with moustache and beard look more handsome; though there may be exceptions.these all depends on the feelings and attitude of people in a community . in some communities moustache is essential to be masculine,

I don't know if men look more handsome. I'd have to argue that point.

My grandfather when he was upwards of 70, he had all his teeth extracted and so he
began growing a mustache.....something he had never done before. He did that because
it took weeks to get dentures ready. I was amazed at his appearance because he really
did look very distinguished and handsome. He kept it trimmed and looking good and he
was correct, you couldn't tell he didn't have a tooth in his head.
As soon as his dentures came in, he shaved it.

Many men however, look downright ugly and others downright nasty with scraggly long
beards. I think bugs and creatures live in some of them. :o

If you want to save some money its a very nice idea to have a moustache and beard it will also save you some time everyday in the morning, a beggar has both so does a man who feel its masculine both have something in common :D

Yes it is true that, if not properly trimmed both moustache and beard look ugly; but when properly groomed I feel it more attractive for some men. my father looked attractive with moustache but my grandfather never grew moustache and he was very handsome but I follow the path of my father and feel it more attractive

Some ladies have moustache too !

The beard was a matter as serious as it was symbolic. For the medieval theologians, it represented holiness as well as sin

I like watching the old classic movies and old tv shows plus the old game shows.

There is a TV channel known as 'Buzzr' and it shows old game shows such as
'Match Game', 'To Tell The Truth', 'What's My Line' and more.

My fav old game show is 'Match Game'. I really like it and it always puts a smile
on my face and makes me laugh. One thing I also really like about it is their
appearance.

Most of the Match Game shows took place in the 70's. Most everyone looks so
clean, neat, stylish, and nicely dressed, and much more attractive then the way
they dress today.

Betty White is often a panel member on the old Match Game and I don't know if
that woman has ever won anything for her clothing appearance, but she should
have if she hasn't. Her hair is always perfect, her clothes so crisp and colorful.
Even the men on the show, panel and contestants look so neat and stylish. All
those with beards and mustaches look perfectly trimmed.

Today, many people look like trash. Sorry, but it is true. You don't need to have
a bucket of money to be clean and neat and presentable. Today many women
wear a ton of makeup and wear dresses up to their tail and I guess they think
that looks good but I think they look trashy.

I have to disagree to keep a beard and moustache neat and tidy is as much or more work
than a clean shave. I should know as I have had my beard for about 40 some years. :)
