If we come from apes then why are there apes?

I never have understood that. If apes became people then why are their apes?

The evolution of man in regards to apes, is a very old theory that simply does
not pan out. It's actually very laughable and a goofy theory.

Amazing discovery,Scientists have detected an object 400 meters in diameter size of an astroid but say its not an astroid, its the first proof of an alien spaceship visiting our solar system its was closest to our planet on October 14th 10 million Km away moving at a seed of 115,000km per sec ,they say no object in our solar system moves at that speed and patern, the object was in an orbit around the sun using the suns gravity to eject it to leave the solar system.

Eh, that was just my ex husband, still orbiting the solar system after I gave
him the boot many years ago.

There are several different lines of apes and we're descended from them. Imagine a tree with lots of branches. Some dead ended. Some became hominoids. Others remain apes. We still have a lot in common with apes. Apes are incredibly intelligent and can actually communicate using sign language. We also share much of the same DNA.

If we manage to survive our own intelligence and the terrible weapons we create, we are more likely evolving into computer/human hybrids - not apes.

The theory of monkeys and man is a great mystery but what was and is the truth is man can only ponder and make guesses

We can make guesses or follow science based on research. I'll follow the science. Science is one of the great things separating us from the apes.

Well if you follow science based on research then you will find that
most scientist have debunked the ape theory long ago.

A theory is not a fact.

You might want to read:

Quote:A perceptive person will recognize that both of these points are nothing more than story telling. The hypothetical ape-like ancestor does not exist, and there is no evidence that it ever did. The "peripheral isolates" claim may sound reasonable, and there are recent examples of isolated groups acquiring new traits through adaptation, but none of any group acquired new suites of functioning genes through random mutation, such as production of either an ape or a man from an ape-like ancestor would require.

Instead of asking why we still have apes, we should be asking why don't we have the hypothetical ape-like ancestor, the real missing link? Or, why don't we have the required intermediate forms? How can such change happen? The claim that transitional individuals were few in number, and thus unlikely to be fossilized and discovered, rings hollow. The fact is, we don't have them! The evolution claims are only stories. In their story, man and apes diverged from the imaginary ancestor some seven million years ago. Surely some would be fossilized.

Taken from this page: If Apes Evolved into Humans, Why Do We Still Have Apes? | The Institute for Creation Research

So do keep in mind, it is not Science that believes in the evolution of man, it is
simply an old theory in which Evolutionists believe the theory to be true.

I don't have any Apes. . .

Surprised no one mentioned the theory we
evolved from the oceans.

Apes don't have webbed fingers or toes.

Valerie, the scientific fact of man descending from apes was never debunked by reputable scientific institutions. You are providing a quote from the Institute for Creation Research. Its title indicates its purpose is to prove creation theories.

Here's the Wikipedia explanation for the Institute for Creation Research:

The Institute for Creation Research (ICR) is a Creationist apologetics institute in Dallas, Texas that specializes in media promotion of pseudoscientific creation science and interpretation of the Genesis creation narrative as a historical event. The ICR adopts the Bible as an inerrant and literal documentary of scientific and historical fact as well as religious and moral truths, and espouses a Young Earth creationist worldview.[3] It rejects evolutionary biology, which it views as a corrupting moral and social influence and threat to religious belief.[4] The ICR was formed by Henry M. Morris in 1972 following an organizational split with the Creation Science Research Center (CSRC).[5]

Its work in the field of creation science has been rejected by mainstream science, but has been significant in shaping creationist thought in the United States by introducing creation science through fundamentalist churches and religious schools, and by engaging in public debates against supporters of evolution.[6][7] The ICR also offers non-certified graduate level programs in Biblical Apologetics, including a minor in Creation Research.[8] In 1992, the ICR started the Museum of Creation and Earth History and hosted adventure tours, but it was sold to Life and Light Foundation in 2008.[9]

(There is probably a reason why Clixsense does not allow debate in the political or religious fields.) Here's a good article on proof of evolution theory: Are humans really descended from apes? | HowStuffWorks

That was just the first thing I came across that I thought you would understand.

Evolution of man is a theory. It is not a fact. Some scientist believe in it and
some do not. Just like the Big Bang theory. Some scientist believe in it and
some do not.

PS. The reason why ClixSense does not allow religious or political discussions is because
I ask them to implement it as a rule and they did.

Maybe it is strange but I do not have any opinion in this matter

All We have is 1000s theory but no proof and theory is just that , theory , opinion of some

We know nothing

Most anyone can think about something and most anyone can theorize.

Man evolving from Apes goes all the way back to Darwin and back at a
time when there was no evidence at all. Simply a theory. Today, it is
still simply a theory but they do have some stuff to back up their theory
such as stating humans and apes share a good deal of dna.

I think it was Danny that posted above, or someone did, relating to the
theory of man evolving from ocean life. IF I had to believe in one or the
other, I would come more to believing the ocean theory.

BUT what I was pointing out to Latoole by posting that page (and I know
absolutely nothing about that website, it came up when I was doing a search
to find exactly what I was looking for) is that for starters, anyone can say
was the FACT there is no proof of man evolving from an ape and that passage
I posted here, said exactly my point. Even more so the very last words:

Surely some would be fossilized.

I also believe the reason why some people do not believe in the higher power
is because they don't have a relationship with the higher power and have
never experienced the higher power. Once you have the experience, your
relationship begins, and you know the higher power is real.

I respect other peoples views, however.

Webbed hands and feet. . .

Look at an apes hands, no webbing at all.

Humans still have a little webbing left...

Ocean it is  , at least that's my theory...

Dolphin cousins. . .
