Holly crap , that is worst kind in my opinion ......How can I save 30000 in a year if I do not earn 30000a year ????

the property tax. I'm not talking politics but I am saying I about fell out of my
chair listening to some people up in New Jersey, relaying their property tax for
the year............ $20,000, $35,000, $52,0000.

What the heck are people living on? Must be gold under their house.

Valerie, I lived in NJ on a small lot The taxes were so high that when we retired we could not afford to stay there. The monthly payment was higher then the mortgage payment. We sold out and moved to Alabama. 14 years ago.

Yes, exactly. The people I saw and heard talking about their high property tax's, appeared
to be average income people. Of course, in the North, wages are usually much higher than
jobs in the South.

Pay more for property tax than the cost of the house.

I keep watching the TV shows that depict couples retiring from the rat race and moving to countries where the cost of living is much lower. Of course one of the featured countries was Puerto Rico and that would not have worked out well for me.

Everything here is going up except my income. It's particularly hard for retirees.

Going off the grid sounds attractive but it's actually a lot of work.

a more attractive life style they can afford, else where.

A few years ago I had watched a news show......... 20/20 or 60 minutes, etc
and it was about retirees that had moved to a particular country but I don't
remember which it was. It wasn't Puerto Rico. They showed retired couples
that were living a vacation style life on very little retirement income.

More recently, they were showing people in the USA that had moved to
New Zealand.........a country that I have always wanted to visit. The
New Zealanders are getting a big angry about it because where once was
affordable housing, has increased in price due to the Americans moving in.

That's kind of like 'can't win for losing' because even low cost areas will often
increase in time.

Basically they gave you a outline plan of what to do and how to do it... getting as many credit cards as you could (preferably 8 to 10) then uses them very frugally for around a year paying over the minimum and not going to their limit.. the banks and credit card companies then keep increasing your credit limit.

Then go wild with the cards until you cant afford to pay them back...then declare yourself bankrupt witha self-declaration of insolvency ... repeat every 7.5 years...

This is now a criminal act so donot try it...lol

Well, I think people over complicate it and the reason why is because
those people can sell you something that is just common sense for the
