Very bad news and big blow to the PTC industry

After PayPal has cut ties to PTC industries, now comes yet another devastating blow that could have major impact on PTC and other sites. Payza is no more ! The site has been seized by the US DOJ. The same faith that happened with Liberty Reserve and EGOPAY...... I will not go into detail about why but for more information visit this site:

Obopay/Payza | USAO-DC | Department of Justice

Another PTC, Neobux has removed Payza from their payment processor, they claim it is temporary, but things don't look good, as the site and monies are seized, when this happened with EGOPAY, they never recovered and never came back online.

I want to say more on the matter but it's best I reserve my comments, I thought after the AP fiasco that Payza was licensed :/ why the HELL did I have to go through a verification process, send my ID, personal info, banking info, only to find out now that they were allegedly non licensed :/

I took an even bigger hit than when E-Gold got busted.

Should've learned by now...

Glad I never kept any money sitting on my account there, always sent it straight to my bank as soon as I got it. I guess I will have to request check every month now as none of the other options are good for me..

I am not surprised about Payza. I found them dodgy back when I tried to verify my account. Their verification process was utter breaching every personal data protection rule. I never finished my verification and never ever used them.

Well, yeah - they're incredibly dodgy, and everyone knew it would collapse eventually.

It's just surprising that it collapsed during a stable (by their standards) point in their operating history. There have been lots of points at which one would panic-withdraw in the past. There were only minor (again, by their standards) issues recently.

Gift cards will be maybe the only safe options for Reward websites, to pay their users

If I had a rewards site, I'd be paying in dogecoin.

It can do micropayments without ridiculous fees, it's not an inflationary coin so you don't have the ridiculous peaks and troughs like Bitcoin, but it's popular enough to be on most exchanges so you can turn it to cash, or other coins without much messing around.

Does Dwolla have anything in common with Payza? Wondering if I should stay with checks?

Dogecoin could be an option for the reason you posted. The problem is...it's a cryptocurrency. When you own a site and operate it alone, after your job, as a hobby it's ok. But once you operate as a company it's another story, you have to deal with all the craps to know the regulations related and so. And it's usually not easy

tasman1, I don't know how Skrill works for sure; but it seems to be an option for many of Clixsense members .
They are available for US dollars as well as Canadian and Australian , and British pounds as well.
Fees to send or receive seem okay , but can't see the ( Transfer to bank ) fees or availability yet ??

Depends where you live, I suppose. Over here, it's just a scrip ('private money' is the legal term - but still just a scrip). It might need some KYC if you're paying directly, but it would be pretty straight forward.

With CS in the US, things are a bit more...not straightforward.

Sorry tasman1, maybe something comes back .
I finally got some info on Skrill , can be done , but seems a fee of at least $ 5.00 USD to transfer to bank
they do it via 'swift' an online transfer agent .
So, I and other Canadians better to go for the check as US citizens are able to do.
