What did you expect? Probably every single Payza member with a balance will have been trying to withdraw their funds since news of the U.S. issues appeared (at least a week or more before it appeared on Clixsense as they added the .eu before) and, combined with the massive losses they will have taken in the U.S., would only have a certain amount of funds available so they will have run out of available money.

If everybody had not panicked and instituted mass withdrawals (not helped by everyone, including Clixsense, saying Payza has been shutdown when that was clearly not the case)...without the mass withdrawals, they probably would have been able to ride out the storm and continue as before, albeit at a lower level....now, however, Payza is finished. I don't blame people for panicking but it just shows what happens when people don't report things accurately.

Pretty much agree, except to add they're a bill payment system in various emerging markets (eg, Bangladesh and India). It's much harder to panic-pull-out for utilities than ecommerce, so I don't think they're finished - I think poor countries will prop up the rich countries (as usual, but that's a digression that takes up more than a single forum post) until their fees cover the remainder of the existing withdrawals.
