What dreams we are talking about? Why we are talking about it? Dreams are never constant and never will be. My parent's dream were to have a simple life and to provide their children a decent education so that they could get a job with respectable pay. People of my age group at modern time dream in a different way.

Social, economic and political situation in America is changing as well as whole world is changing. it is interconnected world. since its inception America has been cause and effect of world dynamic then surely American dreams are bound to change. It's not time of funeral its time to gear up for new challenges and new changes( good or bad only time will tell)

American dream is to own 2 cars, take vacation around the world, nice house, safer neigborhood and sent all your kids to college.

Fox news promoting American dream is dead. They blame other poor country taking american jobs due slave labor oversea? They are blaming immigrant coming to american take jobs and they blame they lower their wages?

You can't blame the immigrant they want to make money as much they can? They want a better life for their future children.

Well, what can i say then? they should read OECD and World Bank reports if they can believe that omitting fact does not change reality.

American dreams start with being an entrepreneur. rest is just consequences of their innovative ideas and ventures. When were Americans not dependent on immigrants for their high tech industry to their low paying manual jobs? Well this discussion is turning political. There i rest my case.

Don't be fooled. Nothing ever really changes except the universe.

The American Dream is if anything, more alive today than ever before.

It doesn't matter who you are if you live in the USA and you have the
mentality to create a dream then you can have the reality to make it
happen. Of course, you can't take someone that can't sing and expect
them to become the next top ten on the music list.

It is almost absurd to think it doesn't exist. Look at the health care
industry. It's HUGE! And in health care, most fields will PAY YOU to
become educated. Lets say you want to be a nurse. The hospital will
pay your way or pay you back every semester.

There is many fields that are having a very tough time getting knowledgable
employees and they pay top dollar on wages PLUS pay for training.

The American Dream is alive today just like it was yesterday.

In the 60's there was lazy people. They all wanted free love and world
peace. What is different about that? It's called teenagers and young
adults. Nothing changes with them. They still have raging hormones.
They still want to look cute and be cool.

It doesn't matter if you come from the poorest family in America. If
you want the American Dream, you WORK for it and you'll get it.

The american dream died the moment they decided to produce everything in china. Also beware of cheap jewelry lazed with chinese cadmium, among other china products, including poisonous chinese paint

Donald Trumps to throw all immigrants out nothing wrong in it he has the power to do it,but there could be a catch to doing it he has to be sure that becoming the president for the second term becomes an American dream, very meaningful dream give some take some,he has not done anything, does it mean Donald Trump dream gone, everyone else can keep dreaming thats what Americans believe in.

Then add fact our government caused 9/11 for war profiteers. I knew both but not fun seeing us crazies are right. I was hoping I was wrong.
