Strongly agree.

Though when I lived in New York, I used public transportation by train a lot.

Where I live now,
the new latest and greatest speed rail has killed 4 people in the first three weeks of opening.

Factoring self driving,
Train maybe. After bugs worked out.

Car, Taxi or bus... Not this lifetime...

I'm pretty sure an ass....sorry, donkey already 'drives' itself.

As for the question, I would not ride in any self driving vehicle. Those things could easily malfunction or possibly be "taken over" so that not even the car is in control....with someone else accessing it remotely....that can already be done now.... but it kind of seems more lethal when you're not in control to start with, call me paranoid maybe or just safety concious. :silent:

I remember on the news, something about a self driving car crash involving an Uber....so yeah. Plus it don't take much to turn a steering wheel, press pedals and move a clutch and such around. It's a pointless idea to me, some things are fine as they are, quit changing them to make them more "futuristic"

"Feds: Uber self-driving SUV saw pedestrian; did not brake"

Saw this headline from The Associated Press, thought about this thread.

They are already trying to kill humans...

Question is?, What's most reliable when it comes to automated transport (No driver).

Human's or machines.

Machines don't do drugs, They don't drink, They don't eat, They're not getting sleepy, They react way faster (Human's don't even come close), They can predict an outcome before it happens.

So which of the two would cause most accident's?

Number of situation that can happen on the street is unlimited .... machines can not learn about unlimited number of situation

I don't agree on that one.

Neither machines or human's can learn every situation possible, But machines can hold a much larger capacity of information than human's will ever be able too.

Machines can communicate with each other, They can't prevent disasters from happening but they can limit them.

If every driver had the same mindset and did the exact same thing it would be easier to predict what could cause an accident and what would not (If all followed the same rules), But human's don't do that and are way more unpredictable.

Human's are afraid of machines(And maybe we should be), We think we are in control when wer'e out driving, YES!! we are in control of our own car, Sadly we can't control other peoples car's.

I'm the perfect driver, If just all the others we're like me nothing would ever happen( Jackheads)
