Worse than I thought. Almost $200. I can't afford it but I can't afford a new laptop or desktop computer. In the meantime, I guess I can say bye-bye to eating away my CC balance, which I have been trying to do. Every time I turn around something pops up. Hubby's chain saw needs repair too. It needs a new cylinder and piston, another $200. He needs his saw for the many trees he cuts down for our outdoor furnace.

With the Ash borer beetle, all the ash trees are dying. He's been going around to everyone that asks to take down the infected trees. We're starting on our 2nd batch of wood for NEXT winter, not the winter this year. He is up at another neighbor who has what the neighbor says is 20 cords! We've had a lot of trees come down on our hill from the winter that he hasn't had time to clear. It was our picnic grove, but not many tables and other stuff could be salvaged. Good thing he's in better shape than I am. He'll be 71 on the 28th and still works like he's 20!

Ah....what a wonderful "even" year this will be. Knew it would happen, just not prepared and hoped it wouldn't. Can't wait for next year. Better luck in odd years. :)

Yes very bad year for me as well.

Your post is an interesting one. I had not heard about the beetle infestation.

I am getting away from the trees. I will be moving very soon to a major downsize home.
There is ONE tree in the front yard and that is it. However, the back yard is fenced there
is some shade from a neigbors tree.

Big difference from all the trees here that I have dealt with for 15 years. Mostly oak and
hickory. I'll miss it of course but life goes on and I looked for a house with NO trees or
few trees and not much yard to mow.

Maybe you could purchase an inexpensive laptop at walmart.

Its still better than desktops but after five years. One I bought at woot.com (which Amazon owns) nice Lenovo thinkpad with ssd if in no big hurry get good deals there. I bought my lenovo desktop due how good the labtop was.
