Tahiti update.
After placing 2nd in the first heat this morning the Canadian elite ladies
out rigger canoe racing team ended up with the bronze medal.
beating some of the world's best teams.
Canada had previously never placed in the worlds

Today's 1500 M race included 4 turns with windy conditions,
but the Canadian Elite Women's team was up to the challenge
placing 2nd and beating NZ team. Placing them in the finals
a bit later today.

Despite a great effort both Ladies and Men Elite Canadian teams
did not place in the medals in the finals. But a feather in their
caps for doing so well against the worlds very best.
