(WI is the abbreviation for the State of Wisconsin)

that city is about a 25 minute drive from where I am .. so somewhat " local " a lot of the place names in this state were taken from the natives who lived here before .. and the french who mapped a lot of it

I had to look it up and it is an American Indian name. I know there are
various cities towns named by or after Indians in Wisconsin. I grew up
in Chicago land and had been to various places in WI. Never heard of
Menomonee before. So funny.

There's a lot of funny town names in KY too. Monkees Eyebrow,
Possum Trot, those are near each other close to Paducah, Ky.
