You may seen many of those ads on facebook, online or by e-mail with very convincing web sites and testimony to make you believe that Samsung is giving away its S9 for only $1 - be careful, even though the article is convincing as forges yahoo finance logos and other graphics from official sites, these are 3rd party sites you order from and NOT from Samsung directly - IT IS A SCAM to steal your identity and CC information - you will see lot of convincing testimony that people received it, etc, these are fake testimonies. There was also confirmed officially with Samsung, they do not sponsor this and warn people to be very careful of such offers or ordering any product from non authorized sites.
I almost fell for this until I clicked on the link which brought me to a non secure site that is NOT Samsung's official site, so it raised red flags - then I read about this scam online.

I hope those CRIMINALS, THIEVES, GOOD FOR NOTHING waste of human cells running this scheme will get what they deserve. If you spot those fraudulent ads on facebook report them !

FACEBOOK is swimming with SCAMS, when the bloody hell are they going to learn anything !

Who trust Yahoo? Well I love Yahoo Mail as gives you 1 TB space. I used them since 1997. would I use them now otherwise. Nope.

Facebook I love the day Facebook bans me. I trust Google before Facebook and I hate Google. I search with Bing as earn $5 giftcard every month or two by searches. Funny thing there bing search engine better than there spell check in word. I hit max paid searches most days just fixing my awful spelling.

This one is not a scam on Facebook its competition in the tech industry some Samsung rival has played a prank on Samsung, just last month Samsung came out with the first ever folding phone the Samsung Galaxy fold but just a few days ago the screen of the phone was reported to have split by quiet a few people, they could not give a proper explanation the phone was withdrawn from the market it was priced at $2000,Huawei the Chinese tech giant facing legal charges in the US for having spying technology installed in their phones is also due to come out with a folding phone in June the Huawei Mate X priced at $2500,competition is so fierce in the tech industry that a small problem can give your competitors an edge the Facebook post for Galaxy S9 for $1 is a joke on Samsung.

I'm also a Yahoo mail user, very long time user, only problem with Yahoo is when they changed their UI and when they got acquired by another company, it is not heaven for SPAMMERS. As far as yahoo news, yeah I know what you mean.

BTW the $1 offer I did not see on Yahoo, it was ON FACEBOOK, when I clicked on the share 's link it took me to a website, on that website there was a YAHOO FINANCE header, but of course everything was forged including the FAKE FB testimony, which were actually a GIF and you could not reply, like or interact, which is a HUGE tell...... even scammers today are clever, some of the testimonies said "I thought this was another scam but it was really legit I got my $1 phone in the mail" LOL Imagine $1, 1 million victims, instant millionaire and a database of names and CCs they can sell for gold :D ALSO TbH I would not get a Samsung S9 even if it was really $1 let alone 1 cent, their quality has declined and they decided to drop support for samsung backup software - and drop support of other stuff that were useful - I dunno if this is a move to use only cloud based apps but this is ridiculous - the price is also a RIP OFF. I'm very happy with my Samsung J series - and those who are thinking of selling their kidneys and lungs for a S9, donate to charity instead :D

Yeah i've seen quite a few of those offers too, There's also a lot of those offers where you pay a tiny amount for shipping of your "FREE" phone but at the same time sign up for a club membership of $250 a month, They only need your bank details to confirm your'e a legit person (yeah right!!).

I've only been cheated 1 time (properly) if i may say so, I was so stupid to use my credit card to pay for an unknown upload service which had no reviews or reputation to be found on the internet. 3 days later my account was relieved for around $4000 .

What i do to improve my security is too install a virtual environment and use that for shady stuff, It's way better to uninstall and reinstall the virtual machine than reinstall your default windows (It saves you a lot of frustration), And who don't want to run win 98 on win 10 :D

"borrow" huh ?

I was under the impression that gmail was better, better interface at least and perhaps more secure.

I think I started with hotmail in the old days, it cannot get any worse :D From hotmail I moved to yahoo mail, I also use gmail, not by choice but was required for the work I had to be done online, requiring a google account and gmail.
Do know however that whether it is yahoo or gmail, your e-mails are monitored (not by humans but by bots) and based on your e-mails someone is earning money in custom ads and other stuff - that's fine by me, in exchange for free service, until Internet 2.0 is reality where you will need to pay for use of everything.

Sorry it needs quotation marks, I see why you are confused.
