I hope that all people in India affected and hit by this cyclone are safe and I wish them well. These horrible events are more frequent all around the world and happen nowadays even at places where they never or rarely occurred.
It looks like they are here to stay and possibly even worsen in strength in the future. Here in Brazil we see an increase of freak storms which appear out of the blue and are hard to predict. There are still people around the world including world leaders thinking and acting like all is fine!!

Thank you for your concern. Cyclone has just made the landfall in the state of Odisha. Still very early to know about the damage to lives and property. May be by tomorrow we may know the exact damage. Fingers crossed.

Its amazing we dont give it a thought what is causing these changes,A UN report says 1 million species are on the verge of extinction we humans are the cause,we have entered the 6th mass extinction on earth, first time caused by an intelligent specie humans.

Let's say it's time to see an historical event,April 13Th Friday 2029 asteroid Aphophis will pass earth 19,000 miles away it can be seen with naked eyes,an event that occurs in every 12,000-20,000 years,in Ancient Egypt meaning of Aphophis enemy of God,Aphophis diameter 15 meters.

Maybe Elon Musk will land on it and claim to be the first human to land on the enemy of God :D

Dinosaurs evolved 201 million years ago in the Jurassic era,the fifth mass extinction Cretaceous-Paleogene occured 66 million years ago by a asteroid 6 miles in diameter named after the Mexican city of Chicxulub where it formed a crater 50 miles in diameter,we have evolved in the paleogene era.

Is climate change really responsible for exacerbating the extent of these natural phenomenon?

In my opinion it can and cannot be since all we know is what media tell us...(they have insterest). Anyway i don't have the knowledge nor structutre, method and money to reasearch for myself (which would grant an impartial verdict)

So I'm not buying this rhetoric....

Yes we humans have the tendency not to believe anything that's why we are ignorant and are responsible for the problem, its not just climate change or global warming,we humans are exploiting other species on the planet for our gain leading to extinction, more than 30% of the Amazon forest has disappeared by deforasting in a few years the Amazon will disappear at this rate disturbing the ecology many species will become extinct who is creating these problems we humans, there was a ban on hunting whales but Japan has now refused to comply they have again started hunting whales for their benifit, all this is not rhetoric, its not the media world organizations like the UN have released reports after detailed study's that we have entered the sixth mass extinction on earth, reason are we humans.

All rich earn MORE thanks to global warming
All poor have less thanks to global warming
Shops earn over 150 million a year more now from current new kind of shopping bags , to save a world

PLUS ,recycling company s here earn and have profit in 100s million doing NOTHING , we do all job for them , they take money
My recycling every week go to rubish bin not to recycling bin , they will never earn from me

I agree that the Amazon deforestation is a real issue. It can cause a lot of problems if not controlled.
