I save change. It's a habit. I prefer to save pennies and quarters.
The pennies I keep in a large glass pig jar until it is full and then I roll them.
The quarters I toss in a drawer and then roll them every so often. Other
change I drop in a jar until I get around to rolling them.

My sister is always digging in her purse for change for me, and we trade.
I give her dollar bills when she has quarters to give me.

I know. It's a crazy obsession.

Yes, I also used to save change in a giant jar.

But then my bank decided to only have 1 branch open dealing with real cash, Now It cost $10 just for the privilege to transfer them to my account manually (all needs to be digital now).

I put only 2 dollars coin in big jar but kids grab from it for parking so I think it is never over 100 dollars there . How much did I put it there in last 10 years ? Few K for sure , think it is very bad investment

Most definitely. We have a sorter now, which makes it easier on the hands. We exchange $100 at a time, and keep on until we have enough for a nice weekend (or regular vacation) somewhere, use it for gas, food, and motels. We've rarely had to go into the bank account when we're on vacation. No bills missed, and we enjoy our trip so much more. Anything left over, we send to charity.
