Some people might not understand the relation, so for context, it's not the tomatoes that is actually bad or anything, but some people have a tendency of producing kidney stones. There are different kinds of tones. One kind is calcium oxalate stones, so whilst it is true that you should avoid as much as possible foods high in oxalates, it is difficult to completely avoid them. There is a list of plants based foods that are higher in concentration than others, so unless you are eating a large amount each day I would not worry. Most people do not eat that many tomatoes to be a high risk anyway, and if you do not have a history of those type of stones, you will be fine. Some people eat tomatoes on a daily basis or lots of green vegetables and spinach and have no issues. This is the most common type of kidney stones. If your urine and blood work is normal and your levels are ok then it's no use to worry.... you can eat less oxalate rich foods, but don't completely eliminate them
And contrary to what some might say, don't cut calcium, calcium is actually important and might help prevent the problem..... and drinking enough water of course. The advantages of tomatoes far outweigh the risks
From what I understand you drink LOTS and LOTS of water
So that means if your kidneys are functioning normally, you should be fine. Most people in society eat junk food anyway, unless you are abusing on veggies with high concentrate of oxalate, abusing salt intake and protein intake, I would not worry, unless you have a history of producing stones quickly even with a sensible diet. I know some relatives with a history of calcium stones, they've had it a few times in their life, they still eat tomatoes, spinach and other foods containing oxalate, they are fine now and have not produced more stones, turns out in one case calcium levels were low - so a few dietary changes helped, proper levels of calcium, hydration, and stone free for years.
