What's the silliest thing you've done as a dare? » Post #3

I can't remember the name of the drink but it was a dare to drink it.

A bunch of us was at this sports bar, it was loud and crazy on a game night. The drink had 2 drinks in one.
The bartender would put one drink in front of you, then drop another small one in really fast and light it on fire. The fire didn't last though. Well I was standing there waiting and watching it all and getting ready to do my drink, the bartender dropped the 2nd drink into mine and lite it on fire. Well when he dropped the 2nd drink into 1st drink it splashed on me and I didn't know it did, when he lite it one fire my hand caught fire. At the time I had acrylic nails on and a few of them melted..lol I was not hurt in anyway what so ever though.

Sorry not for me..lol
I bought a robot vacuum cleaner about 6 months ago

Though I did also buy a proper 2800W vacuum & a rechargeable stick/dustbuster at the same time. I just use the robot for the kitchen floor when I don't feel like mopping & the rest of the house in-between proper cleans or when the weather is too hot & I feel a little lazy (like now here in Sydney - gonna hit 38C (100F) in a few hours time).

So they really work?

The cosmetic industry makes s fortune. Anti-wrinkle creams and moisturizers are probably
the biggest rip off in the industry. Maybe shampoo ranks a close second. I don't know.
Just guessing.

Wanna come help me do some tossing? lol
I seriously need to do a clean up.

You are so very very correct! Anti-wrinkle creams and moisturizers are the biggest rip off in the industry.
I can't believe some of the prices out there. I can't remember right this minute, but Dr.Oz did a show on them and said what simple inexpensive drug store ones actually are the same if not better than the high costly ones.

At this moment I have a jar of Olay Regenerist sitting on my desk. It's almost empty. I have
been placing it on my feet for several days so I can throw the jar away. That is what I do with
some lotions and moisturizers instead of totally trashing, I blob gobs of it on my feet. That way
I don't feel so wasteful.

I've used expensive and inexpensive and there is really truly no difference. For the most part, a
facial moisturizer is just that, something to keep your face hydrated. Some will clog your pores
more than others. Some seem to feel better on the skin than others.

You may be referring to 'St Ives'. It comes in a good size jar and sells for about 5 or 6 bucks.
It lasts a very long time for me. I like it ok. It's not thin like water but it's not thick. Only a
very little is needed on the face.

The original formula Ponds, is a good cleanser and moisturizer. They have some new products
out now that some rave about. I have not tried those.

Some of the other old brands work well too such as 'Queen Helene cocoa butter cream'. It's more
of a body cream but I have used it on my face, just a dab will do ya.

'Jergens Face Cream' that is the old brand that has been around forever in the pink jar.....I love
that stuff and it lasts me forever. It is greasy so again a dab will do ya.

I almost get the feeling today that companies are experimenting on people. Altho companies like
Jergens makes new face creams now, I stick to the old stuff that works and safe. It is very
inexpensive too.

Oh that sounds like me in the sense "if I use it here on this body part I don't/won't feel bad about it being wasted" lol

I do like the ponds and cocoa butter. To be honest, I will have to say good ole H2O keeps my skin hydrated. Where I live it is cold almost every night. We may have about a weeks worth of summer Since I have lived here since 2008, we have had only a few hard winters, mostly it will only snow for a few days then it is gone within a few days. No one has central air installed in there houses here, unless they just bought a A/C for that week it gets hot, so we mostly run there heater all year at night. Forced heat will dry out ones skin.
So filling up my humidifier every single night with water and letting it run on my night stand keeps my face nice and hydrated along with drinking water..

So funny you say companies experimenting on people. A girlfriend and I was having a similar conversation about that a few weeks ago. With that said (lol), there is sure a lot of free samples out there to try.
If I go to Walgreens I always check out at the beauty counter and ask for free samples and they give me so much free stuff to try out.
When I am looking for coupons at the Target store there is a place to get free samples and they often have a free beauty bag. I like when I get the ponds stuff in there!
