Bali has much to celebrate and most months of the year always have something of interest happening, with various seasonal things to do and tourist-friendly events taking place, often within the countless temples.

On the New Year's Eve - December 31st most of the people in Bali enjoy dining, dancing, partying, a traditional countdown and lots of fireworks . Some people go to church , praying and giving thanks for the Lord's procteciton and care throughout the year, while waiting for a countdown. I used to do that for the last ten years ,

This year we went around the city and then went back home, having dinner at home , shooting up fireworks , then we had thankgiving at midgnight

Lots of people in exuberance usually have fun crowding a huge square at Renon, white sandy beaches, especially at cafes around Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa dua to hang out , dine out and blow trumpets to welcome New year , watch fireworks party till dawn and enjoy the first sunrise on the New Year day.
